Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the ongoing governorship election in Anambra State, Mr. Tony Nwoye, may have conceded defeat in a yet to be concluded exercise.
The Independent National Electoral Commission is yet to announce the winner of the exercise because election is ongoing at the 65 polling units that were cancelled in Idemili North local government area due to non-supply of election materials to some places.
In a text message circulated on Sunday by the Tony Awoye Campaign Organisation, the PDP candidate said irrespective of the final outcome, his supporters fought for justice.
The text read, “Beloved! You have fought a good fight, fought against principalities, fought for justice, fought for truth. Now no matter the electoral result later today, you have won and your reward from God you will soon see! Thank you for your unflinching support and prayers! Thank you.
