Nigeria is widely regarded as the giant of Africa and being the most populous nation in
the African continent, no Nigerian university is listed in the top 1000
best schools in the world. That is because our education system is a
mess.
The deplorable infrastructures in some of our schools have been
captured in photos. Unbelievable! Please read the photo captions in
green to identify the various schools.

Whao! Immediate inquiry on how the money spent over the years was utilized. It is difficult to believe that yearly budgetary releases to these states and federal universities have been used properly. And this has given more weight to the cry by a few that states should not just establish university without proper thought on how to fund the university. It has become a competitive spirit in the negative sense: State A has one and State B must have too.
ReplyDeleteASUU ISNT STUPID TO BE RESONABLE BUT THE WAY GEJ RUNS THE GOVT?(600 TO UN,TOMPOLO BUYS JET,ORISAJEFO BUYS PRIVATE ROCKET,PHCN FOR SALE AT COST NOT ENOUGH TO BUY A HOTEL ETC)COMMON,LETS GRAB WHATEVER.
ReplyDeleteYeeeparipa oooo
ReplyDeleteAll political and public office holders should be made to bring back all their children schooling abroad home immediately to get their education in these universities.
ReplyDeleteASUU should also probe VCs and Ministry of Education on how to spent monies that FG releases to universities for infrastructure development. We are just too corrupt as a NATION.
ReplyDeleteNothing from Unilag?
ReplyDeleteThis is a lier even secondary school can not be like this...what are they doing with the money they collect frm the past...se na FG go come dey mentain all those buildings nd d rest for them? all this schools should be queried....they are thieves....even polytechnic in my state is like london school so this pictures are fake
ReplyDeleteOMG
ReplyDeleteI believe the government allocates money to universities annually for capital projects. How are tbese monies spent?
ReplyDeleteWhere are all the school fees and federal allocations given to universities. We don't need strikes to fix toilets and water in our universities.
ReplyDeleteDis is just a tip of and ice berg. There are other universities dat are. In a very bad shap more than dis ones.
ReplyDeleteIf u can't manage small u also can't manage big..the VC's should be Questioned hw they manage the little before asking for more. ASUU is has been politicalized cos why would state schools join the strike wen they are fully funded by states. Why will ASUU reject 130 billion and ask for 3 trillion is that possible to finance, what is the nation's Budget. Lets all have a think.
ReplyDeleteGEJ is not the VC of these universities. He released money to each federal university but the VCs should give account of the money.
ReplyDeleteASUU should challenge VCs of every university to ensure that allocated money is not diverted for personal use.
GEJ is the President of the country and he has no direct responsibility to manage university fund. Students should hold their VCs responsible for infrastructure failures.
The first VC to be interrogated is FUT Owerri.
Na today una know say most lecturers and VCs are theives? If every body begin ask for 3 trillion naira how the country go be. Abeg ASSU is just too greedy. I bet they are only fighting for their personal pocket.
ReplyDeleteNa today ASSU begin strike? All the cash giving them since wetin dem use am do, abeg Nigerian students don't be fooled ASSU is not doing this for the universities, they are only doing it for their pocket. Abi una don forget how lecturers dey demand blocking money, handout money, etc 4rm students? They are just over greedy.
ReplyDeleteCORRUPTION! It flows in our BLOOD, even my beloved ASUU is not left out. Since government can not fight CORRUPTION, bcos of CORRUPTION, I think its time for the poor(if they too are not corrupt) to fight these corrupt individual.
ReplyDeleteBut who is not CORRUPT?
chai.dis is embarrassing. God please save Nigeria...
