Following Stella's recent public reaction to last week's plane crash, where she stated, that plane crashes happen, and tagged them as 'an act of God'
In her words
“We do not pray for accidents but they are inevitable. But we will continue to do everything to ensure that we do not have accidents. But an accident is an act of God.
“Again, we do not speculate on the cause of accidents. Until they happen, you cannot say this is the cause or that is not the cause. But what is obvious and is the truth is that, in aviation, there are shared responsibilities, starting from the man that carries your luggage to the man that makes sure that your boarding pass is issued to you.
“And so, the regulatory agency, the operators, the management, everybody has his/her responsibility and all must work in tandem for there to be an optimal, secure and safe aviation sector in the country. And that is what we have been working on.”
Former aviation minister, and popular writer and critic, Femi Fani-Kayode took to his Facebook and Twitter page to vent, read his thoughts below...
The God that I know and serve does not cause fatal accidents. Only the devil does that. You can say a fatal accident is an act of God only if the devil is your God.Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

Femi or what, you are Anti- christ
ReplyDelete"An accident is an act of God." This is nonsense. If the statement attributed to the Minister of Aviation is correct, she certainly should not serve the country in that capacity. I would consider her unqualified and unfit for the job. Most aviation accidents occur as a result of human or mechanical error, which means that they are avoidable. As long as God's name is brought into these discussions, we can never seriously get to the root cause of tragedies like this. In a mature society, Odua would be asked to resign her position, but not in Nigeria where important positions are not designated based on qualification, but rather on who you know. That's why we are watching the country die slowly. A plane crash on a day when weather is clement is not an act of God. Ms Odua needs to separate God from these things if she ever hopes to address matters correctly. In Nigeria we leave everything to God. We need to do more on our own so that God will have less work to do because of our incompetencies. Ms Odua's statement attributing the crash to God's wish is wrong!! Tha nation needs more intelligent and more mature leaders.
ReplyDeleteWe should not just write her off if she in anyway did say that accident is the act of God. It must be a mistake because she is a christian and knows that it is the devil that we are in battle with all the time. You and I know that she is one of the performing ministers. Is just like saying mistake is inevitable in life, which is a true talk. No one is perfect and no machine is 100% efficient. Don't con dem her yet and don't call for her resignation. I pray God to forgive her if did say so. God save Nigeria!
ReplyDeleteFFK, you wiill never be tired of cheap notice me!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou better take your psychiatic pills & go rest you brain.
Irresponsible agbaya.........
ffk ur vry mad. Sh's working n d whole nation is seeing her work. When ur der,u stole all d money, finish with efcc n go n see ur pscho....
ReplyDeleteI wish we could understand that its not just that easy or simple for a plane to crash considering the technology involve.all this crashes indicates great flaws in the aviation system which corruption is not letting us tackle squaredly.the whole system should be over hauled.eles one day it could be u
ReplyDeleteIt is evidently clear tha Ffk or whatever he calls himself is a mental case that shouldn't really bother any sane person. His family should help before he goes to dance at the market square.
ReplyDeleteWhat has Femi said that is awkward?their is need for general overhaul of Aviation sector! So much corruption allegations and negligences that can be avoided have caused innocent Nigerians their lives! Stella ought not to use God as excuse for her failure!
ReplyDeleteFfk shud nt be totally condemned on this rather we as Nigerians should critically examine the whole scenerio. Aithough most accidents are avoidable whether on air or land. To me let her trade the part of honour by resigning from her job, afterall we were not told she studied anything close to aeronatic engineering. For FFK he should atleast choose his careful afterall he was a honourable minister so where is his garment of honour. Stella Odua and FFK i neither love nor hate
ReplyDeleteThe aviation sector is not a place to joke, most people think maintaining and operating this huge machinery is any easy task. The Minister should concentrate on monitoring this airlines maintenance history. And make sure the operators meets regulation. I would say that she has done a good job since she started. And thanks for the DANA suspension" two air returns with one engine inoperative ".they most check their maintenance records also other airlines records.
ReplyDeleteSometimes your premises and propositions with the conclusion you arrive at greatly beat my imagination FFK and they are always as usual sound and valid but not true!, I believe your above statement should be attributed to your forerunner the one you took over from as aviation minister (I am talking of Aborisade), the one who was finally dropped in the right ministry of Ifa studies sorry cultural orientation, he should be the one that you should address as such, not Oduah, the lady is trying please give her a break.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, so anytime FFK coughs or farts on his twitter page, Nigerianeye will come and publish it as big news so that we can start commenting. Nigerianeye I hail thee o. But i think we have better things to do than reading FFK chronicles
ReplyDeleteFFK is a complete mad man may God deliver him from drugs and women because women will soon kill him.
ReplyDeleteThe news read dat d plane is 23 yrs old, can any of u use a car for 23 yrs without changing it, all d fifth handed planes will be imported to nigeria there killing d innocents citizens, can d Aviation minister en ter dat kind plane to travel? and we are here commenting rubish, our general problem is dat we always see d truth and refuse to say it, GOD can never cause any accident, incompentency and corruption has taken over in all d sectors, God will continue to deliver his own.
ReplyDeleteAccident don't just occur, as most are attributed to human errors i.e. poor maintenance culture incompetence handling and above all corruption. So the minister shouldn't have said that at this moments when people are aggrieved. Which ever way every body will die at an appointed time by Allah. But there is the need for the minister and her subordinate to sit up and address the issue at hand.
ReplyDeleteD more U̶̲̥̅̊ insult FFK d more he gets popular and d more U̶̲̥̅̊ will b in trouble coz I hv not seen any right thinking person calling person like FFK mad man just bcos U̶̲̥̅̊ hate him. U̶̲̥̅̊ hv abandoned d message and attacking d messenger. D senate findings showed dt dt ill-fated plane was on test flight dt day meaning its undergoing repairs yet no any engineer was on board.do U̶̲̥̅̊ den want to blame God for that?FFK hater?! Well, truth will continue to be bitter to U̶̲̥̅̊. Its in ur blood.
