A family source revealed that although the governor is presently in the United States, he has reportedly contacted the actor on his intention to foot the entire medical expenses.
It would be recalled that the ailing thespian had added his voice to a media campaign by his colleagues, friends and family members, pleading with the public to help save his life by donating towards his treatment.

ReplyDeleteThis is wrong to be using Public money to pay for the medical treatment of one person simply because he's well known. There are thousands of fellow Nigerians living in the Villages and other remote parts of the country suffering from the same or even more serious conditions without anybody or even Governments volunteering to help these people.
ReplyDeleteThe reason is that there are no Votes or popularity in helping them. Politicians don't do things unless there is something for them at the end of the day. These are wicked people.As much as I respect Mr Fashola, this is not the sort of popularity courting I expect from the very best governor in the country. He should be above this type of things and leave it to Governors of lesser states such as delta, Rivers etc
