A three-year-old girl and her elder sister, identified as Abla, lost their lives in a fire that gutted their 8, Odofin Close, Ikotun, apartment, leaving their father with severe burns.
It was gathered that the fire started, last Friday, when their father, Pele Prazo, a Togolese, was turning petrol into their power generating set and Abla, who held a lighted candlestick, walked towards him. The apartment was razed.
Prazo’s three-year-old daughter, who was inside their apartment when the fire started, was burnt to death, while Abla died at Igando General Hospital, where her father is receiving treatment.
Deputy Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos, Dasmsus Ozuani, who confirmed the incident to newsmen said policemen attached to Ikotun police division and men of the state fire service were at the scene, following distress calls.
