I guess theres so much fuss about this story...and only one who is dumb will not notice that the video is edited. From the video and natural reasoning, there must have been serious arguments which sparked confrontation and counter confrontation. Revenue drives are NEVER meant to be violent and its sickening that Nigerian Governments resolve to THIS PATHETIC SELF HELP. Messi, Steffi Graf, Obafemi Martins had in the past had issues with the Tax regulatory bodies of various countries outside their country of origin. We have a court who can enforce non compliance of tax responsibilities. People should look at this on the perculiarity of the case and not drag Oyedepo into this just to SELL the news. The Winners man na Naija man and has a temper just like all who IM sure engaged him squarely
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmmm! God is watching
ReplyDeleteMy question is this “do regulatory authorities now go with camera men and journalist when going to serve notices to companies, organisations or biz outlets?“ or did they pre-empt there was going to be such occurence? For all i know, its only during demolition or other serious activities that journalist are usually invited not when it involves mere service of notices. Even FCDA in abuja does not come with camera to serve a notice let alone a dept in a state urban devt. Dont you think there is a set up here? Lets think b4 we commit pls and nigerians lets stop discrediting our pastors, they re assets to us
ReplyDeleteAssets to us or to themselves??? The day you people start to speak the truth to yourselves and stop minding whose oax is goared thats the day Nigerian would start getting better. There is just to much controversy surrounding the church and oyedepo in particular that questions have to be asked. The bible has said it all sha; the end time will judge and judgement will start from the church
ReplyDeleteOur tax officers dey behave like touts most times. If you go to collect revenues and there is an opposition are you meant to take the laws into your hands by behaving like a tout? Our tax officers need to be well behaved.
ReplyDeleteCHURCHES should pay tax-thir money comes from POOR tax payers.
ReplyDeleteJournalist, that is not a brutal attack. Go and look up the word brutal in the dictionary.
ReplyDeleteI witnessed the insidence..........the report is falsehood. The dragging involved tax officer and one of the security personnel of Winners chapel attached to the Winners' school visited by the tax officers.Tax authority locked up the teachers and the children.Parents were that came to pick their children were persuading the tax officers to open the gate. While still argueing, one of the tax officer's hand hit the security man in suit(See the video)the security guy hit the tax officer back in response.I dont know how church staff and Oyedepo are involved in this.Even if the teachers alone fight/beat the tax officers that came dat date.......comparing their number, they will kill them(Tax Officers).Journalists, I pity them for false report just to sell news.God is watching.
