The youths said they would beam their searchlight on Prophet Mohammed and the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar 111.
The threat is coming on the heels of comments against Jesus Christ and a recent outburst by el-Rufai that the Christian Association of Nigeria and its President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, have become appendages of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The CYV in a statement by its National Coordinator, Yakubu Mecham; and Secretary, Emeka Okoli said from el-Rufai’s uncomplimentary remarks against CAN , Oritsejafor and the Christian faith in Nigeria, someone needed “to help the ex-minister before he goes completely mental.”
The NYV recalled how el-Rufai recently “made blasphemous and abominable tweets about our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ” but that the incident was swept under the carpet for peace sake.
The group wondered what would have been the consequence if such a blasphemous remark was made about Prophet Mohammed.
It warned, “Enough of this insults on our Christian faith and our CAN President. The CYV hereby notify el-Rufai and his group of unpatriotic Nigerians that we will not sit back and tolerate insults aimed at our Christian leader any longer.
“We wish to stress very emphatically that henceforth any further careless statements, comments or insults on our Faith or on the person of our CAN President will be reciprocated in equal measure. A word, they say, is enough for the wise.” Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

El Rufai secretly wishes Nigeria is turned to Syria so he can be armed as a 'moderate rebel' by the West.
ReplyDeleteI know and I am convinced that my fellow christians are not stupid to the extent of beaming search light on prophet mohammed or anyone at all. They should understnad that no one is capable of fighting for God and His Son Jesus Christ. If actually they understnad whom God is, they need not to think about vengance for God and His Son. If they do it, they will succeed in fanning the ember of disunity in the Country. Is it not clear in the eyes of every right thinking person that el-rufia is a nonentity 'a person of no account', before God and man, so why think about him at all. When he was serving in the capacity of a Minister, all his speeches including his book was full of a man drolling from his mouth. Leave el-rufai to God.
ReplyDeleteMy Lord Jesus Christ is strong enough to defend his name because all power belongs to Him. The youths need not to revenge'cos vengeance is of God . So there is no need to fight at all. Christian youths are wise.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous 9:23 AM, Your write up makes sense and I luv your use of English. We Christians are not known for fighting for our GOD, the useless malam will still suffer mysterious like those who have made similar comment in the past.

ReplyDeletePlease, leave El rufai alone and let God judge by himself. Since no one can fight against God and go scort free. Let's use good to overcome evil.
ReplyDelete"and a recent outburst by el-Rufai that the Christian Association of Nigeria and its President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, have become appendages of the Peoples Democratic Party"
ReplyDeleteCHRISTIANS, but if you can all truthful with yourself and live like Jesus lived while on earth. Did El Rufai lied about the statement above?

ReplyDeleteChristian youths, ur ultimate goal at ds perilious time shud b to live a live of holiness nrghteousness n to be accepted by God. Jesus did nt answer dos dat despised, blackmaid n despiefuly used him so who r u to speak 4 him? If a man of God is acused of sometin of which he is nt guity of,he shud rejoice nowing dat God wil surely vindicate him. Infact, for making plans to retaliate, u r already outside God's will. Let us be wise n stop pursing shadows. Christainity is to be lived out so as to draw men to christ. The way most so called men of God cary themselves r questionable, only speak for urself. May God help us. (frm Felicity)

ReplyDeleteIs this statement from the youth? How can the youths not see the truth? How can they not know that the man at the helm of affairs of the christian body is doing all he can to potray muslims as evil and christians, no matter their actions, as holy. He has even gone further to accost highly respected christian clerics who tried to correct him, with demeaning comments. To him, his evil ways must be upheld and anyone opposed to him is an antichrist. Surely that is ungodly.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing is the statement failed to say what the anti christ statement is because there was no statement of that nature that originated from the former minister, El-rufai. I want christians to know that though Oristejafor may be the leader of the christian unity, his actions are neither congruent with christian ideals nor is it the consensus of christian clerics. He is afterall accountable to only himself. Christianity may be synonymous with christ but certainly not with Oristejafor.
