The sect, called ‘Kalo-Kato,’ was discovered in Uregi-Kongoma and Kwana-Mariga districts of Rafi local government of the state, and are reported to have gone about preaching contaminated Islam, urging Muslims to disregard Hadith and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
Members of the sect, the security operative added, have been confusing and converting the moderate faithful to their fold.
He explained, “What we are investigating is, how they get here undetected? They came here before Ramadan and no one could raise alarm until two days back, how did they pass immigration? And what threats do they pose to the Nigerian State? So these are the things we are working on here and nothing more than that, we have not found any link to arms, but we are not leaving things to chance.”
When asked whether security operatives have discovered the leader of the sect, he answered, “Yes, he is one Abdulkadir Suwaba, as we talk we are surveying the area and as well carrying out investigation. This is how Boko Haram started, and so we know the gimmicks.”
The sect are said to be peaceful and just preaching their doctrines, they are also preaching that giving alms is not compulsory in Islam.
They are also challenging a prayer called ‘Nasilat’ in addition to five prayers indicated in the Quran.
SaharaReporters has further gathered that security has been beefed up in Kebbi State following intelligence that some elements of Boko Haram are planning attacks in the state.
Armed soldiers, police and plain cloth operatives are said to be manning strategic locations in the state following the latest developments.

ReplyDeleteThe existence of the Nigerian state is in serious jeopardy from many fronts:
ReplyDelete1. Greedy, wicked and Corrupt politicians who are only there for the MONEY and not to serve and help fellow Nigerians.
2. Corrupt, inept and greedy public servants who are in their positions not through being qualified and capability to do their jobs but through patronage.
3. Citizens who don't see themselves as stakeholder in a prosperous Nigeria. They see the politicians and 'ruling' elites in it only for themselves. The youths have followed by kidnapping for ransom, terrorism, robbery, oil theft and child stealing for money. It goes on and on ..............
4. Inept Government led by useless and clueless president. All over the country we have millions of young boys and girls (many of them university graduates)roaming the streets of large cities in Lagos, Abujs, Kano, Kaduna, Onitsha, Abba, Ibadan etc. with nothing to do and no credible source of income. Devil gives work to idle hands! These young people are there to be indoctrinated into crime and manipulated by wicked politicians for their own end.
The World Athletics competition is going on in Moscow and its the first time in my life time that Nigerian male athletes are hardly represented at a major meet. Mrs Patience Jonathan wasted billions this week on useless pet project. This kind of money could have been used to build Sports Complexes in major cities and towns all over the country. At least it would the young people the opportunity to showcase their sporting talents and put Nigeria on the map. Think about it, Jamaica has a population of less than 5 Million and GNP of less than that of Lagos alone and its there to be seen what their young people are achieving all over the world. Close to home, Ethiopia and Kenyan youths are doing it year after year and even the Europeans are going there to use their training methods to achieve results.
After 53 years of independence Nigeria is still populated by money minded people whose only motivation in life is MONEY . And believe me they will do anything for it.
Sorry I have gone on too long but I am very very angry.
The 2nd speaker has spoken well . You're not the only person angry , I'm equally angry but I don't think anger will produce any positive result but prayer can . Let's continue to pray for this great nation . I see a radical change taking place, I see power changing hands to the pple that will bring about the desired change .I am very hopeful and it is going to be sooner than expected .
