The Police
Command in Lagos State on Friday said it had arrested two fake medical
doctors who allegedly handled more than 80 cases of delivery by pregnant
women in two years.
Public Relations Officer of
the command, DSP Ngozi Braide, said while briefing newsmen in Ikeja,
Lagos, that the arrest followed the discovery of an unregistered
hospital located along Omotoba street, Unity Estate, Lagos.
She said that investigations carried
out, revealed that about 80 babies were delivered at the hospital, which
was established by a fake doctor based in Ghana.
She said that all the workers of the hospital were untrained, adding that an auxiliary nurse was acting as a gynaecologist.
She also said that the suspects had
confessed to have carried out a caesarean operation on a woman by
pulling the baby out, using their bare hands.

ReplyDelete@Anynomous 11.25am Are you talking about NMA? It is a professional association not a government agency. An agency of government is responsible for registration and regulation of hospitals not NMA. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous @ 11.25am. Are you alright? What is MBA's own with medical profession, please go and learn how to construct simple grammar.
ReplyDeleteOver to you, the Nigerian Medical Association NMA.
