The factional Chairman of Nigeria
Governors’ Forum, who is also Governor of Plateau State, Mr. Jonah
Jang, has summoned the meeting of the forum.
Investigation shows that Jang also invited the Chairman of the Forum, who is also the Governor of Rivers State, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi.
Amaechi won the last chairmanship election of the Forum with 19 votes while Jang had 16 votes, but the governor of Plateau State insisted that he was nominated and endorsed by the majority of the governors and because of this, he has been claiming leadership of the Forum.
Since he opened his rival secretariat, those in the camp of Amaechi which include all the 11 governors in the opposition political parties, except the governors of Ondo and Anambra States, have refused to identify with him.
It is not clear if the governors in this faction would discuss to agree to the leadership of Amaechi as some of the governors have met with the President to discuss the matter. Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday

ReplyDeleteThey are proving to Nigerians that voting in an election does not count. They are telling us that Nigerians that come out en-mass, join a long, unending queue, in a scorching heat to vote, these people are wasting their time. What baffles and angers me the more is when people like Jonah Jang, who we see as responsible leader allows an imbecile like GEJ use him to tell lies and deceive Nigerians. THIS COUNTRY IS DOOMED
ReplyDeleteYour president an imbecile! you are doomed not the country!
