Nigeria’s Blessing Okagbare won her second medal at the ongoing IAAF World Athletics Championships ongoing in Moscow, Russia, as she won the bronze medal in the women’s 200m event on Friday evening.
Okagbare, though tied on 22.32secs with Ivory Coast’s Murielle Ahoure, was adjudged to have finished in third place while the Ivorian gets second position just as she did in spectacular fashion in the 100m final days back.
Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann FRASER-PRYCE won the 200m gold medal.
Before now Okagbare had won silver medal in the Long jump but missed out on a podium finish in the 100m.
The El-paso graduate now has one more shot at a medal as she is billed to be part of Nigeria’s women’s 4x 100m event . Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
