This is fire for fire! Nigerian senate under serious attack because of useless animalistic Yerima! One man's agenda has become a national issue. So sad...
ReplyDeleteI no blame all this old fools jare i blame all those girls or ladies and their family bcs they are after money....i think all the ladies will be happy now
ReplyDeleteYou're very ignorant. The most ignorant commnent ever made. And yes I'm a female. Mscheww
DeleteShame to senate if they all that needs attention in this country and sit down to deliberate on child marriage. this is strictly child abuse because a child of 13 can not dictate for her self. if Nigeria should allow this, then our liberation from the white that is called independent is useless. Come to think of if can this so call Yerima give out his 13 years old child that is suppose to be in junior secondary school out in marriage? please do to others what can be done to you. He also said in his comment that any woman that is married is aged point of correction a 13 years old child is not a woman nor adult but a child that has right to education and right to life.
ReplyDeleteanonymous 6:18, verily verily u r out of your senses, how can u blame the girls? they are CHILDREN for typing out loud!!!
ReplyDeletewhy do think they say one has to be 18 before he/she is considered an adult? because a persons brain is not fully developed (especially the part of the brain that has to do with cognitive decision making) until after the age of 18. to me a 13yr old girl is still a baby. at that age a child does not even know what they want to be in the future or what they really want in life. it is extremely wrong to make such decisions for her. i agree with Stella, this is total slavery. the sad thing about it is that it is bieng enforced by the so called protectors of the nation. God Help this nation because from the looks of things we are going down the drain and our law makers are the lubricators.
ReplyDeleteThey want to destroy our children. Instead of them to be receiving education and being groomed for leadership tomorrow, they want to be bedding them for their own evil enjoyment. May God destroy them. They want to set us back instead of moving forward. What is an underaged girl doing in marriage. She has nothing to contribute to the marriage financially, knowledge or education wise. Therefore she is just being used for her body. She cannot stand up for herself against her husband if she needs to. She is totally under his rule and he can do with her whatever he pleases. She is a slave to him and has no say in the matter of the family. He is using her simply for his own pleasure. She has to do everything he says b'cos at that age she has no voice of her own. These useless men should be castrated for their evil selfish desire. Take the child back to her parents and let her go to school and become a lawyer or Doctor instead of an undeveloped baby factory with vesico vaginal fistula. He will condemn her in future by the time she is 40 and she will have to start begging and fending for herself. By that time, Yerima will probably be looking for another 13year old to marry. They do not care about these children. They are not thinking with their brain. They are only thinking about their penis and how to satisfy their selfish desires. If Yerima wants to reduce prostitution, he should start by marrying a prostitute and getting her away from prostitution. He should help with reducing unemployment b'cos nobody in their right mind will prostitute themselves if they can make money in a decent way. Yerima is not helping the society by marrying a child. He is only helping himself. Besides the child is not a Nigerian.
ReplyDeleteWay to go girl! Let's all speak against this madness!
ReplyDeleteDear Stella , you can count on me ... what a shame , this is the best we can get from the so called Senators , but come to think of it what do you expect from the likes of Yerima and David Mark . I am sure almost all of them have 4 to 5 wives not to talk of concubines . The truth is that for them , having tried all the pretty Brazilian hair clad ladies and obviously find out that they are all the same , they think turning to children will perhaps give them the kick . I tell you , you will cringe with disgust when you hear what these senators/ reps / governors do with our girls . It is a pity .
ReplyDeleteshe says she doesnt care to hear what they have to say, that statement shows her stark ignorance. There was never a debate on under-age marriage in the senate. there was a debate about renounciation of ones citizenship and a vote to remove the clause which states that a married woman is considered of "full age" in regards to renounciation of her citizenship. no one got up and said so so is the legal age when girls should get married in Nigeria or even when they do get married, it doesnt mean it should be consumated at that age. Bethrotion or early marriage has been practiced by man for civilizations. Still practiced today by the highest class in the world today. monarchs/royals.
