Popular Nollywood actress, Funke
Akindele, has said she bears no grudge against her estranged husband,
Almaroof Oloyede. She said also she has learnt from her mistakes in her
crashed marriage to him.
“Yes my marriage has crashed. Let the
people who are laughing at me continue laughing. My job, after all, is
to make people laugh. Let those who are without sins or mistakes cast
the first stone. Let them continue judging me. God is the overall judge;
He is the one I look up to,” she said in an interview with blogger,
Stella Dimoko Korkus, on Saturday.
“It’s my private life. I know I am a
public figure but I am entitled to some privacy, at least. What has
happened has happened; no one is beyond mistakes. I will take
corrections from this and apply where necessary from now on. I bear Mr.
Kehinde Oloyede no ill feelings,” Akindele stated.
The actress, popularly known as Jenifa, also denied falsifying reports of the marriage crash and threats to sue the media.
Akindele said contrary to earlier
reports, she had not been picking calls due to her busy schedule. “I
will address this issue now and, thereafter, face my career and try to
concentrate on the things I have on my plate at the moment.”
Meanwhile, Akindele removed Oloyede from all her social media account names especially Facebook and Twitter.
Her husband had last Monday, purportedly posted a message on his Facebook page, announcing the breakup.
“It’s with heavy heart that I am
announcing the separation of me and my wife, Mrs. Olufunke Akindele.
We’ve both agreed to go our separate ways because of irreconcilable
differences. We are still best of friends and we would forever remain
good friends,” the post read.
The post was said deleted shortly after.
Oloyede was said to have posted another
message, “Am doing just fine and getting along without you. Don’t need
you anymore in my life. You are the greatest mistake I have made in
recent time…Kehinde Oloyede.”
These were followed by reported rebuttals from Akindele.
Akindele’s elder sister, manager, and
Principal Consultant, NEECEE Entertainment, Ayo Ola-Muhammed, however,
issued a press release on behalf of the actress on Friday.
It read, “Dear friends, on behalf of our
client, star actress, Funke Akindele, we want to formally inform you
that after due consultation and consideration, she’s now separated from
Mr. Kehinde Oloyede as his wife.
“She, hereby, urges her fans and all
concerned to pray and wish her the best as she moves on in her career.
Kindly note that this is the first and only official statement from
Funke Akindele on the matter, and will be glad if her wish is respected.
Thank you.”

ReplyDeleteI really feel for you, but I know one thing that the Jenifa I know will bounce back and return strong and big.
ReplyDeleteYou know this better than I want to say it, life is not all bed of roses, and our paths in life are not same.
Please I beg you, be down to earth and humble yourself before God, you still have your life before you, don't let anything derail you dreams in life.
If marriage des not work with A it does not mean it cannot work with B. All you need is to be calm and allow God to lead you aright.
We love you and want you to be happy and fulfilled ahead.

The important thing is the way you feel about yourself. I know you are the confident type
It is part of comedy, since your job is to make people laugh and people must laugh. What do you expect. Repent and give your life truly to Christ and let him choose husband for you

FUNKE,I hope u get to read this ...Your marriage was never a MISTAKE my dear.
ReplyDeleteNOT EVERYONE is designed to get married, and there is nothing wrong in marrying a married man... if there is, am sure the population of women in the world will be equal to that of men.
People dont have the details of what happened, might be your fault...might be his. you owe no one any explaination.
Truly you are a public figure but dont forget that you are human so let them f..king say what they want to say...you cant satisfy everybody.
Move on with your career and live your life to the fullest.
As for kehinde oloyede, you are so immature to have posted that on facebook. well i believe you needed to do that to get a reaction from people you are just like a baby who needs attention so they make so much noise ... i hope you got it

ReplyDeletei am happy for you Funke. You deserve a better husband and God will give you one. I never liked the union from the beginning and I am happy the rubbish is over. But pls dont ever marry a married man again for whatever reason. I wish you the very best and a deserving and honest and faithful husband and marital bliss soon. i beg dont waste time o
ReplyDeleteFrom pple's comment you'll know those who are bird of a feather with Funke and co. God's plan for marriage is one man one wife, so if you already have one wife, stick to her and ladies shd learn to say 'no' to greedy men that can not keep to their wives alone. It was a terrible step she took then, there are many single guys out there that are ok for her status, she and many others in Nollywood shd learn to look out for their own husbands out there, not snatching other pples' husband, like Stellla Damasus and co!
