A human rights group has launched an investigation into the alleged deportation and dumping of 67 Igbos by the Lagos State Government, which reportedly dumped them in the famed commercial town of Onitsha, Anambra State, in the wee hours of Wednesday, July 24.
In a message posted on its website yesterday, Due Process Advocates (DPA) sought information about the incident that would enable its lawyers to launch a suit against the Lagos State Government over the issue. The message goes as follows

“CALL ON MEMBERS FOR INFORMATION:
“Any member o DPA in Asaba, Onitsha or Awka with any information on those 70 persons that were reported to have been deported from Lagos State to Onitsha should kindly contact DPA.

“Your help is needed for the lawyers to be able to do something about the problem.”

ReplyDeleteThis matter shld not END here. ANAMBRA GOVERNMENT shld also "DEPORT" YORUBA's in ONITSHA & DUMP them at BERGER.
ReplyDeleteTWO WRONGS makes TWO RIGHT.
RUBBISH!
You will be the losers. You have nothing in your place. The millions of Igbo people in Yoruba land, which includes Lagos, will go hungry if 'deported'. So next time use your head before you open your mouth.
DeletePeople like u can neva make it in life as long as the God of justice is alive.
DeleteGbenga,U a disappointment to your race. Lagos state govt should do this in liason with states involved. That would be good governess-PH Nedum
DeleteAnonymous at 6:15pm. You must be a low witted retard. Gbenga's response was directed at the moron who was advising retaliation, and not a comment on the passage. Your low level understanding also manifests in your ability to write something sensible. Correct yourself if can, what is "good governess"? Does that sound write to you. You are a real big disapointment to your race, not Gbenga.

ReplyDeleteOga Fasola , this one no be case at all for they will surely get visa to go back to Lagos provided they are law abiding citizens . With the embargo Britain is planning to put on Nigerian and some African nationals ,we shall all see that from the time of such imposition more and more Nigerians will travel to Britain .Na Obinigwe de duam .
ReplyDeleteDPA is not serious, if they are serious they should go and meet them at the bridge where they saw them and asked them (the blinds)the question. Alternatively ask whom must have given you the information and live BRF alone to develop Lagos jare. Enough is enough of rubbish in Lagos. How many of the yorubas are in Igbo land ? and how many blind yorubas are in Onitsha. By the way how did they get to Lagos ? somebody from Onitsha did the contract, by packaging them inside a luxurious bus and dropped them at JB in Lagos, for further distribution inside Lagos. Can't you see that they deface the face-lifting BRF is giving to Lagos ? By the way what is their gov. doing with the monthly allocation they collect from the federal government ?
ReplyDeleteGbenga.
ReplyDeleteYou are a stupid, ignorant, xenophobic asswipe.
Fuck you.
Grow up
DeleteFOOLISH OFOR! So the TRADER that was ARRESTED on his way to the MARKET was BLIND. IGBO MAN! That's why we are fifth class citizens in 9ja.
ReplyDeleteDont WORRY U or Ur RELATIVE will fall victim one day. RUBBISH!
Issues like this should be treated with utmost Care,,, Government should aways avoid things that can create sentiment and tension in this country,,
ReplyDeleteDPA can carry out their investigation without involving the masses,, People will not cherish the little peace this nation has until they lose it. Whether we like it or not, we all need our self, for those being sentimental about this.
That Fashola that did this shall and must one day beg even those blind beggars for their votes as he did in 2011.Let us be mindful dat 1day we sha stand in front of God and give account of our lives.
ReplyDelete@ Gbenga... you wish!Toto-swinging amala gobbling swine!
ReplyDeleteYou sound like an iliterate to me.
DeleteThe guy only told the basic truth.
I want u people 2 take easy,DPA will do they job perfectly pls, God will take control ijn.
ReplyDeleteLets stop insulting ourselves. Gbenga acted like a child void of wisdom. What Fashola did was unimaginable as a governor who was choosen by the people living in lagos. He disapointed us all and we thought he was one of the best Governors. He was callous and Tribalistic. He as a lawyer should know this is pure discrimination and violation of human rights. I hope the right autorities looks into this and have him cautioned and corrected. Be good to the people on your way up the ladder because you will definately meet them on your way down. The wicked never goes unpunished
ReplyDeleteTo talk about any issue at all brings you to self discipline in the first place. If any issue confronts your well disciplined self, you allow objectivity to reign supreme. By so doing. emotionalism is defeated squarely.
ReplyDeleteI agree on tipping based on pre-tax amount. I usually give 15% minimum unless service is really terrible. Why should we pay tips on a government charge? People need to think about that for a minute.
ReplyDeletemessage goes here
A year and a half ago, a waitress at Nom Wah restaurant in NYC came after us and said we made a mistake and should tip based on post tax. After we stated that it's supposed to be based on pre-tax, she actually got nasty about it. Meanwhile, the owner, Mr. Tang, sat on the sidelines and never came to intervene. Suffice it to say, we have not been back since.
