Weekly Trust gathered that the driver whose name was Mustafa, raised alarms to on coming motorists to clear the road before be veered off and crashed to death.
A witness said the tanker was coming from Madalla along the Kaduna-Abuja express way.

He said barely two days ago, a similar accident took place near the spot that involved another tank, adding that though there was no death,  the driver of a Golf car sustained injuries.”

According to him, five cars were damaged and were removed from the scene hours after, including the tanker which poured petroleum content on the ground.
Reacting, Divisional Police Officer of Zuba, Chief Superintendent Femi Adelegan, confirmed the incident and said the driver was trapped after the crash as the vehicle fell on top of him. The police officer said he contacted Zuba road safety office, which made available two towing machines from Yangoje main office of the Federal Road Safety Commission to remove the driver’s body.

Residents in the area said Zuba and Madalla have witnessed many of such crashes in the past due to wrong parking of heavy duty vehicles on one hand and the activities of road hawkers as well as illegal parks in the area.
