Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku, has assured that the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA will be digitalized by 2015.
The minister disclosed this yesterday, during the inauguration of a new board for the NTA.
He said that his ministry would work with the new board to realise
the goal of migrating the nation’s television station from analogue to
digital platform in line with the world best practices.
According to him, the digitalisation of NTA became necessary for the organisation to be competitive and enhance its operations.
In his response, Director General of NTA, Musa Maiyaki, said that
the need for digitalisation of NTA can’t be over emphasised as it has
become the norm in the broadcasting world.
