On Monday after school hours, a school principal in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state was found in a bush reportedly having sex with an 11-year-old pupil of his school.
Ekiti State command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Victor Babayemi confirmed the reports as true saying the school principal, Tunde Ibitoye had been arrested for “defiling an 11-year-old pupil,” and was currently being interrogated by the police.
The girl also told police investigators that it was the fourth time it had happened.
Ibitoye was caught in his act on Wednesday. Reports claim that the proprietor offered a lift to the girl and another pupil of the private Nursery and Primary School and was taking them home when he stopped at a deserted place and went into the bush pretending to be defecating.
An eyewitness, Kayode Ayeni who was close by at the time said he became very curious after he heard Ibitoye calling to the girl to bring him tissue paper to clean up and she went into the bush.
Ayeni said he decided to following her after a while when she had not returned and that was how he caught Ibitoye half-naked and the girl also undressed having sex.
Immediately Ayeni and Ibitoye began arguing drawing the attention of other people around including residents of Agric Olope area of Ado Ekiti.
He was reportedly beaten up and almost killed but was spared as soon as the police arrived
