Officials of the Students Union Government of Lagos State University, LASU, Thursday, clashed with security officers attached to Lagos State First Lady, Mrs Abimbola Fashola.
The clash took place shortly before the departure of the first lady, during the 5th memorial anniversary forum for late Prof Jadesola Olayinka at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos.
According to the Student Union president, Mr Ibrahim Olatunji, “at the event, we deemed it fit to give a procession to them. And the next thing we saw was that a security officer pushed me and corked his gun.
“We would have expected the first lady to have called us to know what was happening, but she just got into her car and left.”
Dignitaries at the memorial anniversary forum included former DG of Nigerian Law School, Chief Kole Abayomi, SAN; Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Mrs Adejoke Adefulire; Archbishop Emeritus of Lagos, Anthony Cardinal Okogie; Lagos State Commissioner of Justice, Mrs Ayotunde Phillips and Deputy Governor of Osun State, Mrs Titi Tomori-Laoye, among others.
