Pastor of Christ Livingspring Apostolic Ministry, Wole Oladiyun, on Sunday said it was wrong for pastors to pray for “unworthy” politicians.
Oladiyun said in a sermon in his church that politicians, who had oppressed the citizens of the country knowingly or through negligence, should not be prayed for, saying any pastor that prayed for them had committed a sin.
The CLAM General Overseer said, “Why should somebody, who has pocketed millions of Naira meant to improve the standard of living of the populace be prayed for?
“After coveting money meant for roads, people ride on those roads and lose their lives. They are dead because of these politicians who later come for prayers. This is a sin.
“Pastors know that this is wrong and yet some would go ahead to pray for them. Whether they are governors or the President, they are all guilty and many have died because of them. These kinds are an abomination, and should therefore not be prayed for.
“I refuse to be a part of this category.”

Daddy you are a true man of GOD. Your words have always answered the questions I have kept in my heart because it was to heavy 2 say out been I am christian. Sometime, we all say don't judge the Men of GOD so that GOD will not be angry with u. But the truth is that such actions are questionable; Apart from this politicians eating public funds, they belong 2 one secret cult or d other. Praying for such people will certainly make the LORD OF HOST very angry. Please read Ezekiel 14 vs 4 and 5. But you can the whole of chapter 14 for a better understanding. Then U will understand that GOD will certainly be unhappy when such prayers come b4 him.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I am hearing a man of God saying the truth about the men of God and the Nigerian politicians. They claim that the Bible say we should pray for our leaders. They forget that the leaders of the that time Paul was talking about were different from the leaders of this time. The leaders of this time are killers whether directly or indirectly. How do you pray for somebody whose heart has been seared by the Devil? How do you pray for somebody who has decided to go to hell? In fact I have observed that the more they are prayed for the more things become worse in Nigeria.
