Our merger is real – Buhari



Former Head of State, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), says the merger of the Action Congress of Nigeria, the Congress for Progressive Change and the All Nigeria Peoples Party is going to be real.

Buhari, CPC candidate in 2011 presidential election, said this in Lagos on Monday during the presentation of a book, ‘Witness to History’, written by ACN’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Lai Mohammed.

Present at the presentation were National Leader of ACN, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola; Niger Governor Babangida Aliyu; former Lagos Governor Lateef Jakande and book reviewer, Mr. Odia Ofiemun.

Others were former Minister of Federal Capital Territory Nasir el-Rufai; Prof. Yemi Osibanjo; Lagos Commissioner for Justice Femi Ipaye; Mr. Femi Gbajiabiamila; Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa and politicians from different political parties.

  1. Unfortunately ACN is gradually being sold out!Nevertheless, the conscience of d SW and d emerging regional allies can not be a trade-off.
    PDP can either do their home work properly and gain better strength in regions where she is hitherto been weak or another powerful party will emerge and excel where ACN was killed. Its psychological!! CPC (APC) can never be an acceptable party in many regions in Nigeria - believe it or not. watch out, we shall soon be seeing mass decamping from the about to be born APC
    even within the South West Governors. Labour Paty! You had better wake up from your slumbers - ofcourse Iroko is doing his best. Unbelievable, ACN is lost!

  2. Yorubas are always wise. they don't want to be left out in the next dispensation. they will ally with the north as usual and claim vice presidency while waiting patiently for their turn again. Education is the greatest weapon.
