We will declare another civil war if the senseless killings of the Igbos in the North continues - MASSOB

The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has warned the nation about the possibility of another civil war over the incessant killings of Ndigbo in the Northern part of the country.

MASSOB leader, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike who issued the warning while reacting to Monday bomb blast at a motor park in Kano stated that Ndigbo would be forced to defend themselves from the recent killings in various parts of the North.

Uwazurike noted that the Igbo had been pushed to the wall by the Boko Haram insurgency, adding that the people would be left with no other option than rise to the occasion to defend themselves.

He said: “I am ready to declare another civil war in this country if this killings and other senseless activities on Ndigbo continue like this because I know that it was this type of massacre that brought about the first civil war in Nigeria.”

“I am disappointed in our people, because when they were being slaughtered, I brought out buses to bring them home, but they refused to come home and keep living in the North.

“What I did was to safeguard their lives because their lives were in danger. But I want to warn President Goodluck Jonathan that there is limit to everything. Ndigbo can no longer continue to allow themselves to be senselessly killed in the North.

“We are not cowards because I believe that it was this type of senseless killings that prompted the civil war and we are aware of the consequences of the ongoing provocation, but I must warn, that Ndigbo are not cowards and will react if pushed to the walls because there is limit to everything,” he said.

Meanwhile, it was gathered that five luxury buses belonging to Gobison, Ezenwata and Chimezie transport companies were affected in the bomb blasts.

  9. My fellow igbos ask those that are residing in maiduguri... Do we need them or not. People think boko haram are part northeners... Heck NO!!! We love igbos bcoz we live in harmony with them. But if u declare war we ll all suffer and the end only few ll remain to see the end. My suggestion is tell Mr president to come out full hearthedly and address the issue of boko haram and give the order to arrest the former governor Ali sheriff...

  16. War is not the issue, the ibos in northern part should live the north and find somewhere else to do their business, let the northers be killing them-self there since they don't want peace to rain.

  17. Yes my dear annoymous 9:33am, I totally agree with u. All these killing of innocent pple is just for the sole aim of having an islamic president not just hausa president, bcos some few hausas are christian. The price for 'one Nigeria' is too high and not worth anyone's blood. PLeaseeeeeee let Nigeria be divided! A good word is enough for the wise!

  18. If nigeria must be divided, states should decide which part or rigeon they are readyto join and not by compursion.

Who will fight the war with you? Does Boko haram not believe in the religion that the Yorubas, Niger Delta, Igalas etc, believes? Are they also in support of Boko Haran? So why talk of declaring war? Pls, what you should do is to tell our mumu and dumb brothers and Sisters to leave Housa land and come to their home land where they are sure of love and affection. The North has for a long time made it clear that they don't want to see the Igbo man. So, did you igbos living in the North buried your "ichi" there? You think you will be protected? By who? F.G? Have you ever heard of any protest in Ph, Edo, calaber, Benue, anytime there is killing of the Igbos in the North? Pls be wise.
