The Lagos State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Mr. Obafaiye Shem, has dismissed the stories making the rounds about his suspension from work saying he is still in- charge of the command.
According to the commandant, he has been on casual leave to perform the burial rites of his father Pa Michael Obafaye, who died on February 8, 2013 at the age of 82 and will resume at his duty post next Thursday.
He said; ”I am still the State Commandant of NSCSC and I am determined to work hard to expose the vandals across the State.”
Shem who recently celebrated his 100 days in office said already, he has some pending files on his table which will be treated as soon as he resumes work. Since assumption of office, the Command under his leadership, has uncovered several hideouts of vandals especially at Arepo, Festac town and Epe and has paraded several pipeline vandals including three siblings.
It will be recalled that the social media was awash over the alleged suspension of Mr. Obafaye from office by the Ministry of Interior for postulating the “my oga at the top” mantra during a live interview on Lagos-based Channels Television last Tuesday. ReplyDeleteHahaha....2ruth be told this man is proud cos only a proud person won't accept his ignorance cos I see nothing wrong if he had said I DONT KNOW than blabbing on Live Tv. It's also no surprise to me, just that his is TRENDier more than our Fellow WIDOwer of a 1st Lady,if we also remember few years ago whne some of our Ambassadors were been questioned by the House(s) to recite the National Anthem and just a few could say 1 or 2 lines. If all this people and lots of our leaders couldn't answer simple questions and the weren't CRUCIFied then why the cry for his head???

ReplyDeleteWe are people of different learning and comprehension. This "My Oga at the top" thing is really uncalled for. After watching the interview, The channels reporters actually was hard and harsh on Mr. Shem. They too should be called to question. you do not ask questions harshly to your guests on a Breakfast show like the channels man and lady did...God help this country!

Am sure most of us citicizing and crucifying this man, we r worse grammatically and with our vocabulary usage..if u ask me, that man doesnt owe any of us an apology...anybody can make such mistake and even worse, so why turn his world his into a nigth-mare?
