Bombs do not separate between the innocent and the guilty, Muslims and Christians, Northerners and Southerners, Let Them Stop Please - Victim

A victim of Monday’s terrorist attack at the Luxurious Buses Park, Sabon Gari, Kano, Mohammed Sani, has appealed to terror sects to end their bombings, noting that bombs do not pick and choose who to kill.

Sani, 47, a hawker of onions was barely audible as he attempted to answer questions on the telephone with our correspondent on Wednesday.

He recalled that on the fateful day, he was hawking onions in several baskets as has been his practice for close to three years before the incident, which almost took his life.

According to him, he was hit while trying to run from the loud bang before he was badly hit on the face. A near empty space with damaged skin tissues now occupies where his nose used to be.

Sani, who spoke in Hausa language, said, “Whoever is behind this must fear Allah, this is not Islam. There is no justification for killing innocent poor people looking for what they will eat daily.

“This bombs do not separate between the innocent and the guilty, Northerners and Southerners, Muslims and Christians, men, women and children died.”

That was the much he could say before he went into another round of groaning.

He, like a number of other patients lying at the Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital, Kano is alone with no relative catering for his personal needs, save for the nurses and other medical staff who are attending to the wounded.
