It's going to be a sad new year for the Nigerian film industry, as Nollywood actress Bisi Komolafe passed away today.
According to industry sources, the actress died at the University College Hospital in Ibadan on the 31st of December 2012. The actress had been admitted into the hospital and was receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
Colleagues of the actress who found fame in the Yoruba movie sector of the Nigerian movie industry have expressed their shock and sadness at the tragic incident. Bisi was a part of the Yinka Quadri led Odunfa Caucus of the Yoruba Movie sector.
There is speculation that the deceased actress was pregnant and her death is connected to pregnancy-related complications but this is yet to be confirmed.
Just a few months ago, Bisi Komolafe celebrated her family marital introduction to Tunde Ijaduola.
Some of the nollywood actors and actresses who paid a condolence visit to Bisi’s house on Tuesday include, Yinka Quadri, Muyiwa Ademola, Remi Surutu, Akeem Balogun ( Olasco Films), Adekola Tijani ( Kamilu Compo) Majester,Yomi Fabiyi and others.
The actress was survived by her father, grandmother and siblings.
