ReplyDeleteOkocha-No 1, Kanu no 2. No need for Mikiel even at no 46, he has not yet left his footprints on the sands of time, replace immediately with Gabral Lawal.
ReplyDeleteVincent Enyeama, tijani babangida, Seyi olofinjana,
ReplyDeleteThis is very funny. You mean you were not born nor heard of the likes of: Segun Odegbami, Christian Chukwu, Sylvernus Okpala, Amasiemeka, Yisa Sofowule, Henry Nwosu, Ali Jeje, Best Ogedemgbe, Tunder Balogun etc. You must be joking!
ReplyDeleteDominic Nwobodo, Sam Okwaraji and Sam Ojebode should be included.

ReplyDeleteJay Jay is no1.
ReplyDeleteDuplication Yisa Shofoluwe at no 35 & 41, rubbish.
ReplyDeleteGaruba Lawal shud be included in ur list, hop is not a sentimenta list
ReplyDeleteI am not sure that the compiler of this list has facts of the past Nigerian footballers in the 50s & 60s. I will suggest that they specify the period covered by their list as well as the category. For instance, their survey might be limited to the footballers that laced their boots for the National Team only. Except this is done, I am afraid, we may be making uninformed comments here.
ReplyDeleteKanu should be no 1 cause his double goal in "94 olympic gave us a nice push up but pls Sam Okwaraji should not be so easily forgotten, at least he died while playing for his country. Nikky
