As Nigeria and Zambia go to war today in their second Group C match inside the Mhobela Stadium in Nelspruit, South Africa, the good news is that every team in that Group has equal opportunity to qualify from the group having played a match each with one point and a goal.
So the outcome of today's matches will make all the difference. No wonder every team is doing all they can to ensure they win tonight's fixtures.
Nigeria will face a tricky tie against defending champions Zambia on Friday. The Chipolopolo also drew against a tough Ethiopian side that played with ten men.
If Nigeria could not win against Burkina faso and Zambia struggled against ten-man Ethiopian side, that means there are no favourites even on paper and there are no more underdogs.
Ahead of this tie, Both the Nigerian and Zambian coaches have been talking tough on how prepared they are to take home all the three points.
Chipolopolo coach, Herve Renard says it's not yet over for the defending champions, who he said must bounce back with a win over the Eagles.
"We must play better in our next match against Nigeria and I remain positive that we would emerge victorious. We have learnt from our mistakes and our target of reaching the quarter final as the first team is still possible", said the Frenchman.
So, as Nigeria and Zambia go to war today in their second Group C match inside the Mhobela Stadium in Nelspruit, do you see any hope for the Eagles? Do you see Nigeria beating Zambia today? What do you expect from the Eagles?
