Yesterday, Hundreds of Okada riders took to the street to protest the Lagos Traffic law that banned commercial motorbikes from major Lagos routes, they stated that motorbikes must be permitted to return to commercial operations, arguing that if a BRT lane could be dedicated for Lagbus, the same option would work for bikes to operate safely, in opposition to creating mega unemployment in the guise of creating a mega city.

Someone in authority should please look into their plight. I believe that solution can be fashioned out to accommodate the governor's plan for Lagos which will also make room for Okada riders.
ReplyDeleteOkada riders are now a new social epidemic in Nigeria . Surely bike maker did not clasify it as a mean for mass tranport converting it to that is purely a craft . Created by irresponsible government and jobless or less paid men .it takes about 10years to reach this pinnacle it will be difficult and wicked to bring it down by any fiat . I encourage social re-engineering
ReplyDeleteI think what the government did was right here! I would have to support them here. Tumbs up !
