It is a two-horse race for who wins the on-going 18th National Sports Festival in Lagos state, tagged Eko 2012 as Delta and Rivers states have pulled away from the rest on the medals table.
Delta is now maintaining the top spot with 23 gold, 16 silver and 18 bronze medals and the oil rich state is closely followed by defending champions, Rivers state with 17 gold, 11 silver and 15 bronze.
Hosts Lagos state is breathing down the neck of Delta and Rivers with 13 gold, 10 silver and 14 bronze medals.
