Kaduna Muslim Youths Celebrate Governor's Death

Shocking as it may sound, and un-Nigerian it was, as some Kaduna residents were agog with celebration when the news of the death of Governor Yakowa filtered in from Bayelsa.

photo
People in Kawo, Angwarimi, Tudun Wada Pawa, Angwan Dosa, Mararaban Rido, some parts of Zaria and other surrounding villages wer Jubilating as youths drive bikes recklessly as if its Sallah celebration.

All Mai shayi joints are full with smiling faces of people who are delighted in ignorance that a brother died, that a governor who have giving leadership his best, a man that in honestly have excelled more than any governor in the North today, simply because he is not one of us.
He is a Christian, and one of our own, a Muslim brother will replace him as the state new governor.

This is a big shame and quite embarrassing to an average God fearing Muslim, who is aware that life and death is only in the hands of Allah most compassionate. - Aliyu Bello.

  1. It is truly sad that people rejoice over someone's loss instead of feeling for those affected. Our condolences are with the family and people of Kaduna state. However, Nigerian Eye should carefullly proof-read their online posts before publishing them. This one is full of blunders that hurt my eyes to read. I think it's unbecoming of a now widely-read News website, especially for those of us in the diaspora.

  4. Whoever jubilates at another man's death should chase d angel of death when he comes for his own life.I'm a muslim and I feel deeply saddened at the loss of our governor and regard anyone jubilating as a lunatic...he truely was an unbiased governor and tried his best for kaduna state,I pray that the Good lord gives his family the fortitude to bear this loss, its really sad

  5. Kai!!! This is a big lie. I'm from Kawo and since the annoucement of the death of this gentlemen almost 70 percent of Kawo residence are so worried about the death. Well, I don't know where you got your own story. Haba, even if that is what happened at the places mentioned in the above story, don't you think as God fearing christian or muslim or what are to just translate it in such a way that you can reform them?

Hohoho! This is just like a propaganda. - Monday Musa

  8. Anonymous 9:09 u ar †Ñ’ξ animal! Yes! U ar †Ñ’ξ animal bcos u ar already dancing to †Ñ’ξ tune of dis devilished writer whose sole aim of writing dis piece is to cause restlessness among Muslims and christians. He's even disguising as one aliyu bello just to give it some real colourations. You should know beyond dis. If by now you believe everything you read on paper den u should be placed in Nursery 1 bcos dat is where u belong. Especially online papers dat every tom, dick α̲̅πϑ harry have access to air their views. How can somebody jubilate over †Ñ’ξ death of someone? Knowing fully well that death is a shirt dat must be worn by everyone of us? By †Ñ’ξ tick of evry second we are moving closer to our graves? Why den shld somebody jubiliate over the death of someone? To me dis is a clear indication that instead of practicing pure journalism as it shld be, Nigerian Eye has another hidden agenda wch is to cause political α̲̅πϑ religious tensions between Muslims α̲̅πϑ Xtians in dis country. Yes! I said Nigerian Eye because if you assess the kinds of news dey report, you will find out that they are always trying to incite one religion or tribe over another!!! If not, what then is †Ñ’ξ essence of this article? NE take note! It won't take you anywhere. If you don't desist you will collapse in no time. Bet it. You want to progress? Then strike a balance between †Ñ’ξ wrong α̲̅πϑ †Ñ’ξ right. If you hearken to †Ñ’ξ voice of reasoning you will etch your name in Gold. A word dey say is enough for †Ñ’ξ wise.

  14. NE,this report is a poor one and need not to be repoted. remember, kaduna issue sometimes is tribal while it may always look religious. Late YAKOWA is a xtain and not a pastor, even if he is, many muslim had won concillors and chairmen under his supervised though PDP style election recently, many muslims as well are in his govt enjoying nigerian wealth as usual, do you think they too are jubilating? please NE should help us solve our problem in kaduna and not otherwise even if all of you are enemy of ISLAM. YAKOWA has even tried because kaduna problems does not start with him for being a xtain. it has been there during the past successive muslim governors. if that is the case , then the xtain contestants that lost in the LG election complaining are also happy as well. beware that the concurrency of boko haram insurgency and xtain governor is what penultmated this kind of report. this is far from truth.

  15. NE, please remove this lie b4 it is too late. nobody is jubilating at all in this areas even if someone is happy in him/herself. Muslims, expecially hausaman beleive in death as inevitable than even some xtains who beleive they can be averted sometimes. those close to the new gov may have some joy , that doesnt indicate jublilation please. this is the poorest report of the year.

  16. My fellow brothers and sisters (either muslim or christian) don't let us make this report generate uneccessary controversy among us. We need to always see beyond the common man to access situation that is tribe based or is religiously connected. We are a country salvaged with religious crisis and any little degenerating report about a religion, we allow past incidents to cloud our judgement. Am not saying whether this report is true or not but if its true, we never can tell if the people jubilating were jubilating based on another reason that is not religiously based. Maybe they've suffered untold hardship and they've always wanted a change in government. And immediately it happened, maybe out of enthusiasm they started rejoicing, forgetten the way the change in government happened that it cost someone's his life. Let's remember that when a former head of state died while in power almost all Nigerians were rejoicing not because that he died because he is of a different faith or tribe but because of the untold hardship they suffered in his hands. Am not saying this was what happened as per the case of governor Patrick Yakowa, but am trying to let us reason this whole situation from a different angle. And if it is the other way round, the good people of the areas concerned shouldn't forget that death is inevitable and at least if Patrick Yakowa doesn't deserve anything from them he deserves what they will want people to give them after their demise "last minute respect". It is high time Nigerians (especially the literates) stopped pulling more strings of discord among ourselves all because of a news report that could be as good as a lie or that is a based truth but with a different reason other than the ones we are seeing. Don't you think we are causing more harm than good and we are even the one fuelling the crisis the more with our unwarranted comments and opinions. And little time if we hear about another bomb blast, we are the ones to cast the first stone on the boko haram sect. Whereas, the atomic missiles that we are releasing from our blackberrys, ipads, iphones, personal computers and any other multimedia gadgets through our comments and opinions are more destructive and devastating than the ordianry eyes could see. Or probably if there is another kidnapping from the south, you will see us gracing different interview sessions from media houses, reeling out vocabularies and uneccessary jargons(I don't know who we are trying to impress with our grammer)that further kidnaps and enslaves the conscience of this people(the militants) the more. The question is who is the true kidnapper? Please for the sake of our unborn children let us unite Nigeria. Let's us be slow and wise in responding to national sensitive issues. Let's first see reasons behind the irrational behaviours of our fellow countrymen before nailing them to the cross. All we just need to do is let them see a better way of making their grieviances known and that at the long run the negative effect of how they are going about there struggles out weighs the positive effect. Am sure with time they will start to reason in the right directions. Our brothers from the north and south needs us to get back on the right track. Don't let us push them further down the wrong lane. And above all, we should involve God. Know man has the powers to change a fellow man either with his words or with his actions, its only God that can do such. Either christian or muslim or traditional worshipper, we all have a God we worship,so let's us all call on our God to save Nigeria. Thanks for your time and patience in reading through my epistle. We are Nigerians....... Good people and a great nation. Just as the motto of the Nigeria Navy says......... Onward together. Long live all the tribes and all the religions in Nigeria...... Long live the federal republic of Nigeria.

  17. Truth cannot be hidden no matter what. All of you are trying to defend ur religion. If it is true, it is a further proof of heartlessness of those rejoicing. If it is not true, then NE should watch it. All I know is more than 98% of Nigerian Eye news are true. Let religion leaders instil fear of God into their members. Killing fellow human beings is not Laadah before God but attracts eternal damnations. People should wake up from deceit and embrace truth

  20. To anonymous 4:26am,we should shy-away from speaking the truth to unite the country?I don't think so,cover-up will rather promote evil.Pepetrators will think that nobody knows their motives.Mind you truth is always bitter.

Yes you're right my dear,I am a christian from Igboland, Nigeria eye is becoming something else, is like they are full of unskilled and untrained staff, they always say what has no meaning to us, for example their publication concernn pastor's son been slapped at NYSC camp, is any big deal on that?what does it has to do with people? infact it is better for them to learn and change

    ReplyDelete
  23. Each part is expected to go it's own way. Certainly those rejoicing are not human beings and I cannot see why I am a Nigerian and be classified with such people. The earlier they discuss and separate us, the better.

  24. Jonathan, Sambo and others, this is too bad for insinuating all these. right thinking Nigerian minds knows this yet another sacrificial ritual for your confraternity inclination towards acquisition of more evil powers. Oh men of great wisdom Verily the Lord's reformation is without bound.
