Subject to the approval of the state House of Assembly, Ambassador Nuhu Bajoga, aged 63, is the new Deputy Governor of Kaduna State. Governor Muktar Yero of Kaduna State has nominated Bajoga, ending days of high-wire consultations over who should occupy the top spot.
State Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Saidu Adamu, told newsmen that the governor took the decision after meeting with principal officers of the state House of Assembly.
Bajoga's name had been forwarded to the House of Assembly for screening.
Yero became governor two weeks ago following the death of his principal, Ibrahim Yakowa, penultimate Saturday in a helicopter crash in Bayelsa State, which killed all six persons on board, including former National Security Adviser, Gen. Andrew Azazi (rtd). Click to signup for FREE news updates, latest information and hottest gists everyday
