PUNCH Metro learnt that the robbers attacked seven houses and beat up some of the occupants before fleeing.
One of the victims told our correspondent that the robbers raided four streets during the operation which lasted for over two hours.
He said, “Around 3am, a gang of robbers stormed our area and started shooting sporadically. They went to Akera, Oyetedo and Oluosun streets. They robbed no fewer than seven houses, carting away money, jewellery and other valuables. Some of the residents, including an official of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, were beaten up by the bandits.
