The President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, has now joined the elite league of Nigerian clergies, who own a private jet
This was affirmed on Saturday as members of The Word of Life Bible Church, in Ajamimogha, Warri, Delta state, presented the Pastor with a private jet as his birthday gift.
The leader of Christian community in Nigeria, who is fondly called Papa Ayo, was celebrating his birthday and his 40th anniversary on the pulpit, when he was presented the gift.
Present amongst the congregation to felicitate with the Pastor was President Goodluck Jonathan.
The ceremony kicked off immediately with the entrance of the President with the singing of the national anthem.
The president gave a brief address on the celebrant and wished him many more years ahead.
Responding to all the good wishes, Pastor Oritsejafor thanked the President, the Delta state governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, the Speaker, Delta state House of Assembly, Engr. Victor Ochie and all other dignitaries at the occasion.
The high point of the ceremony was the presentation of a private jet as birthday gift by members of the church.
A brief sermon was given by an international preacher, Dr Mike Murdock on seven laws of success.
He urged all Nigerians to build their faith and work with God.

CONFUSION
We've lost our priority in this country. God save and bless Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteYour blessed pastor\Papa Ayoto be a blessing to your generation.
ReplyDeleteSeveral money used in buying private jet which I consider as an unnecessary luxury would have been utilised better in providing for the less privilege in Nigeria. Or don't we know what it cost to pack jet in any airport not to talk of hiring a pilot to move the jet? May God help this Nation, as for me I see this as a waste, total waste for that matter.

ReplyDeleteThere is no false saying that churches in Nigeria are the bedrock of capitalism:Jesus never owned any private Jet,yet he fulfilled his mission on earth.
ReplyDeleteThese guys are all chasing winds, quite a pity if you believe their gospel economics, all aimed at getting your resources at all cost to enrich their selfish desires.
Why would he accept such a gift“aeroplane” if not that our roads are quite unsafe to use anymore or that he wants to be reverred and counted among the leagues of capitalist bishop( which has replaced the old title “pastor”) in Nigeria christendom. Why can't the church use the money to meet the needs of the victims of Boko haram calamities? No that is not as important as the new image the gift will present for the papa or the respect the aeroplane can evoke amongs his fellow capitalist Bishop.
They are all moving to Arch bishop; will I be bothered to see a pentecostal Pope. I don't think so if you ask me.
The government should tax these rich churches,I mean these guys have totally forgot their mission and are busy amassing wealth out of their poor congregation.
May God have mercy on all of us for indeed all have sinned and come short of his glory.
So you are telling me a church member gave out six billion in cash for a birthday prenset not tith cos if it is we all kmw how much he is earning which is not so. It is frm the govt fg. Datz way the efcc is not probeing . God help us all.
ReplyDeleteI trust prophet T.B JOSHUA, instead of accepting a jet as a birthday gift, he will tell u to go and sell it so he culd use d money 2 help d less priviledge or he wuld say u shuld join him in helping d priviledge if u really want to give a gift. HELPING D PRIVILEDGE SHULD BE OUR HIGHESS CALLING AS CHRISTIANS
ReplyDeleteHehehehehe... Even a nursery 1 student cannot be fooled by these stories. How can †Ñ’ξ word life bible church give out a Jet as birthday gift? Is †Ñ’ξ church itself worth a billion naira? Oh! C'mon stop telling us dis shit. Dis is a pure work of †Ñ’ξ federal gov't using †Ñ’ξ church as a camouflag. †Ñ’ξ clueless gov't has dashed a so-called man of God jet instead of addressing †Ñ’ξ myriad of problems confronting us as a nation, and worst still he even happily accepted †Ñ’ξ gift.I've lost my respect 4 dis man bcos †Ñ’ξ fear of †Ñ’ξ Lord α̲̅πϑ †Ñ’ξ love of †Ñ’ξ world (material tins) can not abide in †Ñ’ξ same hrt. He has failed †Ñ’ξ Christaindom. If only he realised dat he's nt growing any younger may be he would ve rejected †Ñ’ξ gift α̲̅πϑ save his reputation! How much time does he think he has to live? Where he is heading to is not even a quarter of where he has left. He shld hav known better by lookin at himself in †Ñ’ξ mirror α̲̅πϑ counting †Ñ’ξ grey hairs on his head. Our leaders are so dumb and hard hearted. Y shld u empower †Ñ’ξ already powerful while †Ñ’ξ less priviledged struggle to survive? God is watching α̲̅πϑ He's not a God of injustice. Everyone will get his recompense according to how one lives. It shall be well with us. *smh... Jet fa!!!
ReplyDeleteThe jet is for the preaching of the gospel
ReplyDeletewell, offering him a jet is not bad, but in a society like niga, hmmm

ReplyDeleteNow we understand d kind of country we are even the pastors are corrupt may God see us through and save our Dear country nigeria. Our pastors are drinking Devil's wine in the cup of God they join hands in spraying violance among the poor nigerians while they are busy sharing public funds! May God save our Dear country"
ReplyDeleteNo body complains when Papa Ayo distributes okada, food and other equipment to empower youths and the less priviledged every year. Now somebody who has sown is reaping, you all are complaining. Who decides what gift is necessary or not? God will judge every careless utterance. Beware - AJ

ReplyDeleteIf you've followed the ministry of Pa Ayo over the years, you'll be careful in how you open your mouth to say disparaging things about him. Churches are not owned by individuals, but by groups. Gifts to pastors are seeds sown with expectancy. A faith-filled gift provokes a reciprocal answer from God. HE (God) owns all things - no amount is beyond HIM. Sharing out money to the poor is not the root of the Gospel. The ROOT of the gospel is the salvation of mankind through the vicarious sacrifice of Christ. God uses people to provide for His ministers. HE fills the pockets of the members, who sow seeds from their increase. These seeds are used to propagate the GOSPEL. If the MINISTERS (which means 'servants', by the way) misuse the gifts for personal purposes, they have GOD to answer to. People in the category of Ayo Oritsejafor do not have time to go gallivanting around the world. They are in great demand everywhere. People look to them to pour out God's word. The jets are to do just that. The money they spend in two years of traveling can buy jets. Coming over to those who leave the substance to chase shadows: title do no matter. No title is greater to another - the works done matters. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is no smaller than any bishop. The fruit of his ministry is there for all to see. If the Adebayo is pastor, it doesn't make him smaller than Oyedepo who is bishop. Some comments above call for EFCC intervention; some talk of corruption. The expectations of Nigerians has become so jaundiced that no one expects to be rich without some corrupt activity being infused. Everyone who becomes wealthy is adjudged corrupt. Should this be the case? As long as we believe this, it will be difficult for one to aspire to be incorruptible in the pursuit of success.
ReplyDeleteAm sure so many are working hard and yet cant get three square meals. He should have told them to use that money to help the needy. 600 million aint a joke.People are suffering and yet compeled to drop money in the church, while some others Frolick on our money.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much,Anonymous 12:13PM.
ReplyDeletePoverty mentality has crippled Nigerians. All forms of Wealth has been termed corruption,theft...but if 10% or 5% of wealth is being displaced by someone, people termed it stealing, theft, corruption. It is not all form of wealth that's theft, stealing & corruption.View ones are still clean.Ok...Let me ask you a question..Does it mean that God is no longer give people wealth like in New testament era?Pls,answer!
Let God be the judge, though I am sure that it won't be to the pastor's favour.
ReplyDeleteThe other time this Man of God's wife was seen posing with a Limo, cant they live a simple life that the Lord Jesus Christ whom they profess to serve lived, even though He owns everything? If all what you do as a Man of God is to be living a flamboyant live, then something is wrong somewhere. Remember the temptation of Christ, the devil promised Him the good things of life, which He rejected. If it were some other Ministries, I know this man will be quick to castigate them. Anyway, we shall all know who is of God when the time comes.
