The Police in Abuja yesterday arrested two men with a gas cylinder in an unregistered vehicle, sparking rumours that a car bomb was intercepted.
Early in the evening, rumours saying that the police seized a black VW Gold car wired with explosives in Kuje area of the Federal Capital Territory spread like wild fire.
Claims were also made that the vehicle had three occupants who tried to enter the Kuje Prisons and a block of government offices but was intercepted.
But FCT Police Commissioner Aderenle Shinaba told a source on telephone last night that there was no bomb.
He said what happened was that the police arrested two suspects in unregistered vehicle with a gas cylinder which turned out to be cooking gas.
He said the suspects were being detained over use of unregistered vehicle.

In case of car theft, Ɣöu can report to †Ñ’ξ Police that ur veh wt so so ₪☺ has been stolen. This will aid a speedy recovery. Unregistered vehs are easilly used to commit crimes as there won't be an easy way of tracing †Ñ’ξ car. So,Mr or Mrs, it is a great offence to ride an unregistered veh.
