Old men and women trooped out in the sun to vote in the Saturday governorship election in Ondo-South senatorial district, which comprises six local government councils.
Defying the sun and a light rainfall, the old men and women, were provided with makeshift benches on which they sat, patiently waiting for the commencement of accreditation and voting.
At Okitipupa Ward 1 in Olumekun area, an octogenarian, who gave his name as Ayeyemi Mark, said it was gratifying to exercise his voting right.
Another old woman, Mrs Elizabeth Omofemi, said Nigeria could improve her democracy when votes of the masses count, adding that the young and old should come out and vote.
Some old women, who voted at Okitipupa Ward 1, Olumekun area, faulted the late arrival of election materials.
