HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY: NIGERIA IS 52

As a result of the amalgamation of the Northern and Southern Protectorates of Nigeria in 1914 by the British colonialist, Sir Fredrick Lord Lugard, a federating state called Nigeria came into existence. This same entity won independence from Britain on the 1st of October, 1960.

Below is a short video of the events of October 1st, 1960.

Happy Independence Day from the NigerianEYE Team!  God bless Nigeria.

We pray that today is a turning point for Nigeria.
