Pakistani Minister Offers $100,000 On Anti-Islam Filmmaker's Head

A Pakistani government minister Saturday offered a $100,000 reward for the death of the maker of the anti-Islam film produced in the US that sparked violent protests across the Muslim world.

Railways Minister Ghulam Ahmed Bilour invited members of the Talban and Al-Qaeda to take part in the “noble deed”, and said given the chance he would kill the film-maker with his own hands.

Bilour was speaking to reporters in the northwestern city of Peshawar a day after violent nationwide protests against the “Innocence of Muslims” film left 21 people dead and more than 200 injured.

“I announce today that this blasphemer who has abused the holy prophet, if somebody will kill him, I will give that person a prize of $100,000,” Bilour said, urging others to shower the killer with cash and gold.

“I also invite Taliban and Al-Qaeda brothers to be partners in this noble deed,” he said.

“I also announce that if the government hands this person over to me, my heart says I will finish him with my own hands and then they can hang me.”

Protests against the film, which mocks Islam and was made by extremist Christians, have erupted across the Muslim world, leading to more than 50 deaths since the first demonstrations on September 11.

The publication this week of cartoons mocking the Prophet Mohammed in a French satirical magazine has further stoked anger.

The producer of the film, Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, is reportedly a 55-year-old Egyptian Copt and convicted fraudster — out on parole — who lives in Los Angeles.

US media say Nakoula wrote and produced the film, using the pseudonym Sam Bacile before being identified. He was questioned overnight Friday by police before going into hiding with his family.
Thousands of Islamist activists in Pakistan staged demonstrations again Saturday but there was no repeat of the previous day’s widespread violence.

More than 5,000 protesters marched towards the parliament in Islamabad, including hundreds of women, chanting “We love our Holy Prophet” and “Punishment for those who humiliated our Prophet”.

Some 1,500 people from the hardline Islamist Jamaat-ud-Dawa and Sunni religious groups rallied in front of the US consulate in the eastern city of Lahore, chanting “The US deserves only one remedy — jihad, jihad”.

Hundreds gathered in the southwestern city of Quetta, calling for the makers of the film to be killed while scores in Peshawar, where six people died in Friday’s protests, chanted anti-US slogans.
Religious groups rallied in the southern port city of Karachi, where 15 people were killed Friday, after the funerals of the demonstrators took place.

Witnesses estimated that nationwide rallies on Friday mobilised more than 45,000, mainly members of right-wing religious parties and supporters of banned terror groups, although the numbers were still small in a country of 180 million.

Police fought back with gunshots and tear gas as arsonists and looters attacked cinemas, banks, shops and restaurants in Karachi, where outbreaks of political and ethnically linked violence have killed hundreds this year.

Four more people died overnight from wounds they received during the protests, taking the number killed across Pakistan on Friday to 21, health department officials said.

The combined total of wounded in Karachi, Peshawar and in the capital Islamabad was 229.
Overall, 23 people have been killed in Pakistan during protests over the past week.

  2. The producer is an egyptian who I believe understand more about islam.from what we see today the nest world war will be religious,Obama is already a traitor supporting arabian agender behind America. In Obama's administration gay marriage and Bestiality find it's way into Americas Constitution. He has just this year to be thrown away from that office or americas will suffer from the hands of the arabian world.I wonder why mortals will be fighting for immortal? It is written in the koran that Islams will rule the world and it is also written in the Bible that anti Christ will rule the world after rapture.but I believe that is far from now, what ever problem the arab world create they will regret it.

  5. Why are they so worried and already dying for a Film if the Film is not true about who they truly are and have nothing to hide about there Reigion and Prophet? Why are they so Violent? If I can still remember there was a Cartoon about Christ and no Christian protested or died for it so why don't they emulate Christians and stop Violence?

  6. I will say this without my heart in my mouth,if muslims are serving the true God as claimed by them let thier holy prophet fight for them from where he is.Why should they fight for their God?God means a deity who has power over everyone in the world,HE(GOD) can reck havoc on those who commit sarcriledge on his name(like the case of philistine etc). The christians are not in positions to fight for JESUS,for jesus will fight those who condemn his great work.So let MOHAMMED fight for his great name and works if he is a prophet of GOD indeed.Henceforth, anybody who fight because somebody written or saying against islam or mohammed is not a muslim rather is a criminal. If musilms want to do the best on the ongoing film let them stage a movie that that falsify Jesus simple.

  7. 9ja people this na money oh! Stop senseless talks since cool cash is now introduced in to this mater. This is a good offer; a good opportunity indeed that can change anybody's life or to rescue anybody from 9ja hardship at least it is better than Fuel subsidy, fraud etc for the fact that most of us are not holding political offices.

$100,000 x N160 = 16,000,000.00. cool cash, remember some one made similar amount on OSama head so my dear you better grab this opportunity in order to get your self out of financial bondage.

  8. Are we to fight for our god,is he not able to take vengeance by himself. These muslim fanatics should really ponder on the true essence their religion teaches.Imagine the lives lost during the protest and the call for jihad against America.,is it not fanning flames into the already heated fire?If the socalled jihad is to be executed then it would be a different ball game entirely.

  9. Pakistan was embarassed when USA went in and hunted down Osama bin ladin near Pakistani miltary barracks. They tried to deny knowledge of his presence but that denial flies in the face of this ignoramus's offer. Obviously, he and others in high places always knew!

  10. This is ridiculous. Misplaced anger by these Muslim extremists. Why r they venting their hate towards America when the person that made the film is from their backyard of Egypt??

Anyone with an Internet connection can upload a defamatory video on YouTube. How does that concern America & Israel?
