A member of the Edo State House of Assembly representing Etsako 1 Constituency, Raza Momoh, escaped death yesterday as he his vehicle was shot by unknown gunmen severally.
He is currently receiving treatment at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, after escaping death in an assassination attempt.
Momoh was shot on Akenzua Road in the Edo State capital, Benin, on Thursday night by unknown gunmen.
The reason for the attack has yet to be ascertained.
The spokesman for the state police command, Anthony Airhuoyo, confirmed the incident to newsmen saying the legislator was responding to treatment.
