25 Nigerians to be sworn in as SANs today

Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Aloma Muktar, will today, administer oath on 25 legal practitioners recently conferred with the rank of Senior Advocates of Nigeria, SAN, by the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee, LPPC.
Among those to be sworn in today are: Mr. Femi Falana, Mr. Rotimi Jacobs, Prof. Yemi Akinseye-George and Prof. Clement Dakas.
Deputy Director, Press and Information at the Supreme Court, Mr. Festus Akande, in a statement, said the event will hold at the ceremonial hall of the apex court.
Others to take the oath as SAN include: Mrs. Joy Adesina, Chief Connie-Jean Aremu, Mahmud Magaji, Ogwu Onoja, Garuba Tetengi, Henry Ogbodu, Selekeowei Larry, Abenny Mohammed, Charles Obishai, Luke Illogu, Francis Agbu, Paul Ananaba, Akinlaja Moses, Ahmed Raji, Adekunle Oyesanya, Rotimi Oguneso, Oluseye Opasanya, Aduroja Olumuyiwa, Aliyu Umar, Illo Sanusi and Ndukwe Nnnawuchi.
Meanwhile, CJN will tomorrow, conduct a special valedictory court session in honour of Justice Francis Tabai, who has bowed out of the Supreme Court bench upon attaining the mandatory retirement age for judicial officers in that cadre. I hope these once knows how to file a case. remember what the judge in akingbolas case gave as an excuse for not being able to try Akingbola in nigeria.‘serious and professional incompetence’ of the prosecution team made up of five Senior Advocates of Nigeria. shame to our judiciary.
