As we enter day 12 of the 2012 Olympic games, and more Nigerian athletes continue to flop, The Mother of one of Team Nigeria’s athlete, Mrs Glory Udoh who came to the Olympic Village yesterday said that it was so glaring that spiritual forces were against the Nigerian.

Mrs Udoh who flew all the way from Houston to London to be with her daughter said that Team Nigeria will surprise many in their remaining events.

ReplyDeletewhy do Nigerians think everything is spiritual..if u practise well and u r the best God will help u. dont expect ur fastest run to be 11 seconds and think because u prayed that morning u will run faster than bolt..u better go back to the drawing table...same thing for the security of the country u think by praying God will come down himself to guard u ?instead of us to plan and implement good security measures.

ReplyDeleteI live in the UK and I can tell u that preparation for the 2012 games by British Sports authority were timed perfectly for over four years and each chosen athlete or sport person was on merit based on the result after participation in several world championships with first class coaches, medical team, Psychologists...they prepared with enduring pains, and some with sleepless nights.
So when they are competing all they have to do really is just look unto the heavens and say God please help me now as I have done my bit and it is easy for God to answer such prayers..
I watched a documentary about Ussain Bolt preparations for competitions and I can tell you if our athletes or sport persons are subjected to even 90% of such preparation we will see the results and NO witches or wizards will be able to stop them.
I think we need to wake up from our slumber and mediocrity, always thinking (even at times believing) magic or some spiritual power without any act of preparation or doing from our sports men and women will just catapult them to glory.You better wake up...see what Nigerians who have succeeded before did when they were shinning in olympic.
Well my advice now will be if Nigeria wanna succeed in Rio 2016...then start world class preparation NOW!
mmmmmmtttttssscccchhhheeeeeewwwwwwww!!!!! The chinese, americans, british, etc have been practicing since they left Beijing in 2008, that's why they have so many medals. We Nigerians started practicing 1 month b4 the olympics, and now we think that witches and wizards are responsible for our lack of medals. Again I say, mmmmmmtttttttcccchhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeewwwwww!!! Take responsibility for your own short comings 9ja!
