Eid-el-Fitr celebrations were disrupted for few hours yesterday, despite the tight security in the Northern part of Nigeria
Trouble was said to have started when some Muslims youths, while returning from the Eid prayers ground, allegedly hauled stones at residence of Farin Gada, Jos.
It was learnt the youth, who also allegedly brandished guns, stopped at the Redeemed Christian Church of God at Farin Gada and allegedly destroyed no fewer than 12 cars parked on the church premises.
Their action angered youths of the predominantly Christian area, who poured out to revenge. It took the intervention of the Special Task Force who shot into the air to scare them away.
The Plateau State Police Command, in a statement by the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Danjuma Azikiti, condemned the act which it described as “unfortunate”.
While confirming that no life was lost and no church or mosque was burned, the police urged leaders of both Christians and Muslims to caution their members.

Honestly the muslims have lost it somewhere. There is no where in the world that they are not violent. There is buda, chrishna, and many more religions that are not violent like christians why are they just crazy.

ReplyDeleteFirstly , both religion was brought to us from foreign land let all of us put that at the back of our mind when responding and calling other religion and prophets Name.
Secondly, when muslims say Islam is religion of Peace, you need to see beyond your nose and ask for God guidance for you to see the peace,dont look at the Nothern nigeria for example ,Look at south west nigeria, look at saudi Arabia and remeber every tribe in Nigeria has culture and tradition which have crept/mixed with the religion.
The North have been breading Boko-Haram for years. How? If you have travelled up north in the last 20years and you are not Lagos Christen, you would have noticed the Almajaris, children roaming about the street scavenging looking for what to eat, incidentaly people across the north and neigbouring country send their wards to the Mallam in the North for Islamic education, there the children were feed with different doctrines of islam, these little innocent children grew up to what we called Boko-Haram , beside ,poverty too does not help.
Thirdly, it is unfortunate that people comment out of ignorance, God will forgive you because you know not what you are doing. Someone was refering us to Aljazira? do you know the financial of Aljazira? Pls find out. Do you know BBC , CNN and some western media dont pulish balance new? if you are interested in knowing the truth as regards international politic check BBC news, CNN News and Press TV compare the news you get from both media to extract the truth using your God given talent. Do you know there was masaccre of thousands of muslims in Baraim about two weeks ago and never reported it on BBC. if you want to be open minded you may want to ask why?.
Fourtly, if you are quoting from the quaran to support you point it will be fair to quote the whole chapter, what led to the revealation of the chapter rather than quoting out of context, it may interest you to know that the Quaran was revealed to Prohet mohammed (P.B.O.H)for 23 years through angel Gabriel and the first revelation was surat Iqra (To Read), which mean GOD has special message that must be documentated to mankind. Please get a copy of English quaran and read it with open mind. It may interest you to know that prophet Mohammed lived peacefully with christen, and was welcome by christien when he had problem in mecca enroute medina. Anyone that kill the innocent is not a muslim. I can go on the on.. Please comment with open mind and not out of ignorance. God will forgive us all our shortcomings...amen.

ReplyDeleteThose of you saying that the quran is being quoted out of context, please tell me what possible context could justify a verse that says: "FIGHT THOSE WHO DO NOT BELIEVE IN ALLAH, nor in the last day, nor hold that forbidden which has been forbidden by allah or his apostle, nor acknowledge the religion of truth, even if they are people of the book (chirstians and jews) until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission and find themselves subdued." Quran 9:29.
Anonymous 11:03 said to quote the whole chapter so we can get the context... Surah 9 has well over 100 verses, i'm not about to quote the whole thing, but for all who are interested, go and read it up, you will see that the context for this verse is that the muslims were running out of money so allah told them to fight nonmuslims and make them pay money (jizyah) to them. Imagine if this verse was in the bible but written aganst muslims, would you muslims ever agree that christians are called to be peaceful with their muslim neighbours?
To the person who said that not all muslims are bh but all bh are muslims, that's true, but the quran sadly calls for all muslims to be bh-like!
I don't know how we always manage to exclude islam from all it's violence. If a christian should kill a random guy on the road, everyone will say 'oh look, at that CHRISTIAN so, this is how they are...'. But if a terrorist group kills innocent people and they claim they are muslims and they are doing it for God, and their book tells them to kill, we say, "Boko haram are not muslims, they are extremist, it has nothing to do with islam, and we are quoting the quran out of context." Please... spare me!
The problem of NIGERIA is not muslim/christian religion but the self-centered, egotic character of the believers. They can use anything to quantify their motive. Can we go to God for the solution and face the truth. Please attack the followers that are erroneous but not the religion. Some of these hudullums and their sponsors has their inner motives that has no religious backing.
