It's all over between the former partners P.Square and May-D, as P-Square’s record label, Square Records, released a statement this morning, announcing the end of their business relationship with the only other artist on their label, Mr May D.
Square Records’ first signing, Akinmayokun Awodumila, popularly known as May D was signed by the label some months ago and has released few hit tracks under the label including ‘Ile Ijo’, ‘Soundtrack’, and the remix he did with Akon and P-Square.
According to the statement, the split is due to the irreconcilable differences between the two parties. The Okoyes further wished May D all the best in his career.
To Whom It May Concern
I, Jude 'Engees' Okoye of Square Records Limited and Northside Entertainment Limited hereby announces to the general public that Mr. Akinmayokun Awodumila, otherwise known as MAY D is no longer an artiste under the aforementioned outfits due to irreconcilable differences.
We at Northside and Square records wish him all the best in his career and life.
Yours Faithfully
Signed: Jude 'Engees' Okoye, CEO, Northside Ent. Ltd/Square Records
Reacting to the statement, May D in a phone conversation with the NET, claimed that he had no idea of what the Okoyes were talking about.
