British Prime Minister, David Cameron yesterday travelled to the Olympics on a crowded train with hundreds of other passengers.
The Prime Minister used the Underground as he travelled to the Aquatics Centre in Stratford to watch Tom Daley and Peter Waterfield narrowly miss out on a medal in the 10m synchronised diving final.
Wearing a blue shirt and navy blazer, the PM looked a little awkward as he sat on the Bakerloo line train next to a casually dressed commuter and an Olympic worker in uniform.
He clasped his hands together on his lap and looked straight ahead while stunned passengers in the carriage stared at him.
The snap – uploaded to Cameron’s official Twitter site @Number10gov – has been retweeted over 250 times since being posted this afternoon.
The caption to the pic reads: “PM travelling to Aquatics Centre to watch @TomDaley1994 & @PeterWaterfield in #Olympics #diving final”.
Mr Cameron – who often cycles to Parliament – said: “I’ve just actually come on the tube myself to see what the traffic situation is like. It's not too bad, the Bakerloo line is going all right.”
Simply amazing, Humble Leadership in its beauty!

It is not new in UK and other part of the world. Nigeria Local government chairman can't do it talkless of senior officers. There are skeleton in our leaders cupboard. Save us God. Mykefamous.
ReplyDeleteAbeg our leader should not try it lest they die like Muritala Muhamed oh. In Nigeria being good is a problem just like being bad, u know how many assasination attempt Adams Oshiomole has had? Is he not good enough?
ReplyDeleteMake una cool down... !!! This is simple publicity stunts. Why now? The men and women in leadership positions in naija do not have to play games like their western counterpart. So lets drop the comparative inferior analysis. We have the likes of fashola that took okada to pay a surprise visit to one of the construction sites. Did anyone say Europe and American leaders should emulate him? So why anything white man do we must belittle our own..
ReplyDeleteBesides, the picture does not show his security details. Whom were probably armed to the fullest order..
ReplyDeletePublicity stunt or not, i dont mind. I want our own leaders to do it for publicity too.
ReplyDeleteEmpty barrel makes big noice! People that are power to serve are different from looters who impose themselves on poor masses.
ReplyDeleteour leaders except the likes of Fashola cannot try this, else, it will different story. this is worthy of emulation by all leaders of whatever kinds.
ReplyDeletePoor us!
ReplyDeletePresidential doctors were fired bcos the Press wrote that 1st Lady is sick. So you can see that no Local Govt Councilor can ride on a train. Its just lack of servanthood mentality. They are ignorant of the requirents of their position.
