Arsenal have agreed a £15million deal with Barcelona for Alex Song to leave the Emirates Stadium for Camp Nou.According to the official Arsenal website, ARSENAL.COM Song will now travel to the Catalan club to agree personal terms and undergo a medical ahead of the proposed move.
Song's transfer to Barcelona is the 2nd high profile name to be leaving the Emirates this year following the transfer of former Arsenal captain, Robin Van Persie to rivals, Manchester United.
A statement on Barcelona's website confirmed Song will undergo a medical on Monday.
"FC Barcelona has agreed a deal with Arsenal FC for the transfer of Alex Song to the Camp Nou." read the statement.
"The Cameroon international midfielder will sign for the next five seasons with a release clause of 80million euros.
"On Monday he'll have a medical and then join the rest of the squad for the official team presentation at the Gamper."
However Arsenal played a goalless draw with Sunderland on Saturday afternoon, with new signings, Giroud, Carzola and Podolski unable to push for a win.
