Oyo State Gov, Sen Ajimobi loses Mother

Mother of the governor of Oyo State, Alhaja Sikirat Abeje Ajimobi is dead. Aged 85, Alhaja Ajimobi died in her home in Ibadan yesterday during a brief illness. In a release issued by Gov Ajimobi’s Media Adviser, Festus Adedayo, the governor’s mother was a prominent trader, devout Muslim and community leader.
Alhaja Ajimobi is survived by nine children, among whom are the governor of Oyo State, Sen Ajimobi. Madam Ajimobi would be buried today in Ibadan at 2p.m in her husband’s house at Johnson Awe Street, Apata, Ibadan.
