Speaking during inspection of facilities at Federal University Ndufu, Alike-Ikwo (FUNAI), Ebonyi State, one of the newly established universities, Prof. Rufa 'I said the money was released in two batches with first disbursement of N4.5bn made earlier and second tranche of N2bn recently released.
She expressed hope that Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo would begin academic activities in September this year.
The minister said: "What we have seen on ground is that we are actually impressed by the hostels, the classrooms, the Deans' office and, of course, other facilities we saw.
But our major concern is the issue of the laboratories that are under construction.
