A statement by the presidential spokesman Reuben Abati stated that the decision was in furtherance of the president’s commitment to the reform and the improvement of the oil and gas industry.
The new board, according to Abati, is made up of the Minister of Petroleum Resources as chairman, Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Finance and Group Managing Director (NNPC) as members.
Other members are Alhaji Abdullahi Bukar, Mr Steven Oronsaye, Prof. Olusegun Okunnu and Mr Daniel Wadzani.
The Group Executive Director (GED), Finance and Accounts, Mr. Bernard Otti, GED, Corporate Services, Dr Peter Nmadu, are also members.
Jonathan charged members of the new board to discharge their duties with integrity in order to enhance positive transformation of the petroleum sector.

ReplyDeleteI feel bad making comments on this platform, but like you said, I believe everyone is tired of this hopeless man. Am not so much worried because from day 1, I never wanted him even though I am a southerner. I am really sorry for Nigeria. There is always a clean clear and visible mistake in whatever GEJ does and it is becoming unbearable. I am just sorry for this country.
