The police on Wednesday arraigned Abe John, 32, of Nyaya Junction, Abuja at an Abuja Upper Area Court for alleged criminal trespass, mischief, assault and enticing a married woman.
The police prosecutor, Sgt. Ambi Ayuba, told the court that the matter was reported at the Garki Police Station by Mr. Zakka Waya of State House, Abuja on July 16.
Ayuba said Waya had information that whenever he went to work, the accused usually visited his home, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
He added that the accused person allegedly entered Waya’s house with the intention of enticing his wife.
Ayuba told the court that the accused was alleged to have committed the offence of assault on a police man while performing his lawful duty.
“When the police officers came to invite you to the police station, you, Abe, refused and in the process tore the uniform of one of the police men, Cpl. Gambo Mohammed attached to Garki police Station,” he said.
The prosecutor said the offences contravened the Penal Code.
The accused person pleaded ‘not guilty.’
The presiding judge, Adamu Wakili, granted the accused bail in N100, 000 with one reliable surety in like sum.
He ordered that the surety must reside within the FCT and adjourned the case till September 11 for hearing.

Please is there a Nigerian law against enticing married women?
ReplyDeleteWhen a man knocks, the woman opens the door. If the Police officer's wife was not interested in the affair the young man would not have had the boldness to entice her in her house.
ReplyDeleteIt's disgusting anyway for a man to woo a married woman when there are millions of girls begging to be loved.
If found guilty on the charge of tresspass, he should be castrated. Illicit affairs with ppls wife by men these days is on the high side and has resulted in several failed marriages and its antecedent social problems. The law must be ready to do justice in that respect to prevent jungle justice. Period!
ReplyDeleteNa wao! Wetin me i no go hear? Common tosting, d guy appear for court... abi wetin married woman bin go do wit d guy nah? She may have showed the young man some green lights before the "idiot" decided to take the wise and bold step, thinking that she will fall for her.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, its no new thing that people are going after married people, afterall, "most" of them aint satisfied with their partners - reason being that their partner cant 'give it to them' the way they want it.
On this note, i rest my case!
All rape cases have not being addressed with serious punishment....
ReplyDeleteThe woman is more guilty than the Man.If her husband is reasonable enough he should not botter taking the matter to court afterall his wife is an antelope on perpatual heat who opens her door to any man she feel can satisfy her.Infact, He should be thinking of what to do with the wife. How is he sure that even when she says that she is going to market other men are not having their field day otherwise how can she have the effrontry to allow the manto come to their house.Anyway Omo Ale Jati Jati. All of them are useless and foolish people.O to.
