ReplyDeleteThis need be thouroughly investigated. How did this happen? Million sentiments cant reverse what has happened. People should direct their energy to finding out how did this happen? In the midst of the sorrow, let there be exhaustive investigation- was this purlely mechanical fault? sabotage? terrorist? human error? If human error, how much did the system in place contribute to it? Who was the pilot and who were the support staff on board? how much training and experience did they have? How about the Aviation Ministry officials who cleared the plane for business as usual after the earlier near miss with this plane? And the company running these local services, how qualified aand scrutinized are they? You cant just entrust so many lives to the hand s of incompitent people and expect somehow it is okay. The loss is too much to simply let go without finding where the fault was. It lazy and irresponsible to simply say it was act of God - it was not, God does not tempt with evil. Even if this was mechenical, it means the plane was not properly maintaned for safe flight or the safety standards in Nigeria are not good enough. Something need to be done and changes/improvements made, people made accountable, system changed, something- dont just sweep this under the carpet. That is the only way to truely mourn the loss.
ReplyDeleteI one-hundred and ninetynine percent agree with dis post...
DeleteNo truer words spoken. We cannot continue to pass this as an act of God; God indeed cannot be tempted by what is evil.
DeleteMay their souls rest in peace. Nigerian need God's interventions. we really need God right now, with Bomb and plane crash, We need to turn to God.

ReplyDeleteIt is true that sentiments cannot reverse what happened. But you should have a heart. Some of the people on here who are making comments are familiar with some of the victims. Have a heart. You wouldn't be saying this if you had lost someone in that crash. You have gone through the manifest and seeing no familiar name decided it was time to make such comment(Which I must admit is on point to an extent). Master Investigator.
I just hope the persons who clicked funny and cool as a reactions to this story did that as a result of finger slip. This is indeed pathetic and I pray for the souls of those who met their tragic end on that flight. Imagine when they say 153 passengers dead, they appear faceless. But now with the release of the manifest, we have come to realise that these people were known by family, friends and colleagues. It is indeed sad. I know what it is like to lose a loved one. I sympathise with all who have lost their very dear ones in this tragic incident. May God grant you the fortitude to bear the loss. May He strengthen you all to move on in life because at this point it would seem impossible to live on. But the Lord is your strength. May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.
I AM TRULY SHORT OF WORDS.......MAY GOD GRANT THE DEPARTED SOUL ETERNAL REST AND THE FAMILY THE FORTITUDE TO BEAR THIS GREEEAAAT AND IRREPARABLE LOSSS.THIS IS A BIG LESSON TO THE REST OF US......No ONE KNOWS THE TIME OR HOUR WHEN IT WILL BE.WE SHOULD ALWAYS BE READY FOR DEATH.MOT IS WELL WITH OUR SOULS....AMEN
ReplyDeleteGod bless the hearts of the famly of the lost. Amen
ReplyDeletemay the soul of prof. onwuliri .c. dnd the soul of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in perfect peace amen.....Adieu prof.
ReplyDeleteI feel the pains of Nigerians whose lives are lost everyday from one incident/accident to another and I ask myself why? Nigeria has been defaced by incessant problems, uncontrolled calamities, questionable circumstances, indescribable sadness, people killing others, women being raped, families losing their loved ones, children made to suffer innocently, I can go on and on. What is wrong? How can a country so blessed with goodness and plenty plunge herself into perpetual pain and confusion. My heart bleeds, lives being lost this way is horrible and it may end up only on the pages of newspapers and television screens. Nigerians, we need to cry for a change. May the souls of the departed rest in perfect peace. God help Nigeria. Amen.
ReplyDeleteI hear so many pray that the souls of those involved in Dana crash rest in peace. I pray so but only for those were SAVED. No prayer of any man can send a sinner to eternal peace as no prayer of can change the status of a dead saint to sinner. Let this be a lesson to those of us alive to learn and run to Christ for our dear soul cos none of those involved knew they won't get to their houses. The moment this breath is taken, u cn;t adjust. U can only adjust NOW. May the SOUL of those who were saved rest in peace and may God grant their loved once the grace to bear such an avoidable lost. Jesus SAVES.
ReplyDeleteplease let us bow our heads and pray for the people that died in plane crash in silence....... May God Almighty grant peace unto their souls in Jesus name Amen. For all the saints, who from their labourers rest. Rev:14 vs 13 says "And i heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them". to the families involved, may God bring peace and his comfort to you all and receive the word of God in Rev: 7 vs 17 which says "For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.Amen

ReplyDeleteNa so Dr Levi take die. How so unfortunate. May his soul and the souls of other passengers rest in the bosom of the Lord. Amen. God bless Nigeria. But in grief let us think clearly. Accidents do happen even in the best climes, but good effort should be made to prevent re occurrence.
ReplyDeleteMy heart bleeds...
ReplyDeletena Igbo people full that plane o...nawaoooo
ReplyDeleteThis is so so sad!!! May the souls of the departed rest in peace!!!
ReplyDeleteEvery human life and soul is important to God!!! Human life is valuable - these were mothers, fathers, sons, brothers, sisters - some people have lost several family members!!!
Another Nigerian plane crashes barely 24 hours after a Nigerian Cargo plane crashed in Ghana. Everyday there is a tragedy on a Nigerian highway, mainly due to terrible roads, armed robbers and poor vehicle maintenance...now it is the airline industry!!! How long are we going to continue to condone the deplorable state if our nation as a result of corrupt officials at EVERY LEVEL both in the government and private sectors!!! Nothing works and we are turning away and accepting it.. but for how much longer? What will be left of this country in 50 years, if in 2012, everything is failing, nothing is working???
We need to begin to demand and expect accountability from one another.
may their gentle soul rest in peace Amen.
ReplyDeletemay d souls of these rest in peace. Amen!
ReplyDeleteMy heart bleeds. My soul screems. I carefully went thru d manifest and some families were finished. I sincerly simpatise with d families Anyene i do nt knw them, but theirs was a great loss. May God grant them enternal rest.
ReplyDeleteThe loss of a loved one can never be equated as being small or great. It is downright disheartening and can rob one of the will to live on. Only the spirit of God can grant one the fortitude to bear such a loss. may the souls of these dear departed ones rest in peace. Amen. And to anyone who has lost a mother, father, brother, sister, daughter, son, friend and so on in this tragedy. Stay strong! There are good people in Nigeria praying that your heart would be strengthened in these trying times and onwards. God bless!
ReplyDeletewas Jonathan and the aviation minister shedding crocodile tears? I have said it times without number that aviation belongs to the Air force and no one else that edo woman or is it delta has no business with the industry. i can bet my last cash that that woman cannot and i repeat cannot draw an aircraft talk of identifying and labelling. Aviation School 0. lets not blame anybody but our leaders who just appoint anyhow.
ReplyDeletePeople knew Dana was bad and yet did not speak out they waited 4 dooms day. Well it has happened. Remove madam aviation and appoint an air force Officer with the highest rank who will check these planes daily.
Air crash is not knew but we can take preventive measures. In this case we were careless. Mr MAUL I am waiting 4 your change of Cabinet. Imagine those people being illegally cr...ted. i have refused to shed a tear because this country stinks. i hope you are thinking of deporting the owner of dana. Please tell IBB THAT U NEED THE BEST AIRFORCE TEAM TO BE IN CHARGE OF OUR AIRPORT. MY DEAR,IT COULD HAVE BEEN YOU,YOUR MISTRESS NOW TURNED WIFE OR YOUR CONCUBINES.(the caps are on purpose).
A country where wickedness ,evil and poverty reigns supreme ends up with human mayhem like this. This is the worst country in the world.
ReplyDeleteMay the Lord destroy every power that is demanding for human blood in nigeria for sacrifice. Let us all pray against blood surking powers, and powers that use human blood for sacrifice in this country. May the Lord grant the departed souls eternal rest.
