Arsenal have bagged Montpellier marksman Olivier Giroud and will make an official announcement to that effect after France have been eliminated from Euro 2012.
According to France Football, the respected journal says the deal "has been completed" and Arsenal will soon reveal further details of what is believed to be a four-year deal.
Apparently, Arsenal paid £12m to secure the services of the 25-year-old striker, whose goals last season helped Montpellier lift the French league title for the first time in their history.
The Daily Mail confirms the deal and says Giroud will replace the misfiring Moroccan Marouane Chamakh and not skipper Robin van Persie.
He becomes the second summer signing for Arsenal, after German International, Lukas Podolski was transfered from Cologne.
