The State Security Service (SSS) in Kano says it has arrested one Ayuba Usman suspected to be the supplier of chemicals used by Boko Haram group in making IEDs .
The state Director of SSS, Mr Bassey Eteng, made the disclosure, while parading the suspect in Kano on Wednesday.
Eteng said that Usman was arrested with 35 drums of highly inflammable chemicals and other materials in one of the markets in Dala Local Government Area of the state.
``Based on investigation the suspect is found to have links with some extremist elements in the state.
``Also based on statements made by some of the suspects in our custody, the suspect has been providing very explosive chemicals being used by the terrorists to make IEDs.”
He said the SSS operatives would go deeper into the case in order to know their network with a view to tracking down their accomplices.
``Chemicals are controlled or sold to individuals to make economic gains.
``But when we find individuals selling such materials to individuals, who turn to harm innocent people, the security will be concerned and that is why we are concerned. ’’
He said the operatives would not rest on its oars until the perpetrators of such illegal activities were arrested and prosecuted according to the country's laws.

ReplyDeleteGod will give the authority in power to overcome this boko haram issue because, each time i go on my kneels i pray for Nigeria for peace to be restore also all these evil people called boko haram wasting innocent life for God's judgement upon them, for the wicked will never go free without God's punishment.
